Chanel is gaslighting its customers by leaking high price increases and then having less high increases in reality… does this create a sense that it’s “not so bad”?!

I guess from a business standpoint if you can go from $1b a year in sales to $2b when it comes to your shareholders and C-Suite that’s a win/win. For consumers very interested in experiencing purchasing that simply means it’s not a possibility. The comparison you made between Chanel & Hermes is spot on. Some of us won’t own a Birkin or Kelly. And some won’t ever own a Chanel. Hopefully for those who do want to they will be able to pre-loved. I definitely expect quality & luxury spending that kind of money. And don’t feel it’s right to cut costs while raising prices. Great video & discussion my friend!!!! ❤

Absolutely, it’s all about corporate profits at this point, and they’re getting away with it. What breaks my heart is hearing stories about people saving for YEARS to buy one of these bags as their stretch goal and to have the target keep moving… in the case of the classic flaps, it’s just not something I can stomach. As someone that works in the fashion industry in particular in the luxury sector, I can tell you Chanel is currently a waste of your money! Their quality has gone down across the board and the prices have gone way up, not to mention the designs are trash! Save your money and shop somewhere that offers you quality.

Thank God I picked up the Chanel bags I wanted during Covid times.. actually no one is lining up anymore.. was in our local boutique and no one was in the store and in London Heathrow airport 3 weeks ago and agin no one was in Chanel.. that was not the case a few years ago

I’m glad I haven’t ever been a huge fan of Chanel as a whole. I do love the Chanel 19 and the Coco handle but that’s about it. I’m definitely priced out of Chanel. If I were to buy anything it would have to be preloved.

Exactly how I feel; I’m glad now that I’ve discovered I was never much of a Chanel girl to begin with! The Coco handle is definitely cute too, but I now think about what else I could be spending that money on when I look at preloved options. 🤷🏼‍♀️😅 I’m LOVING your low buy and color analysis content, btw!! 😍
