Omg it looks like we are the same shade. I live in Covina and that 626 area code looks familiar 😉 I am 39. Just started wearing foundation. I have been on the hunt these past two weeks. All shades that I have been shade matched are sooooo off that its so frustrating trying to find foundation :( i went by the counter today at West Covina counter and apparently they were closed and it was noon. You look so pretty! My favorite foundation ever (and believe me I've tried them ALL) is Le Teint powder. And it's funny because it's low rated on a lot of websites and the reviews aren't that great. It works so well for me, especially as a Black woman trying to find a powder foundation that matches my undertones.

Can you recommend a primer for the velvet that does not have silicone? Or what type of primer works best with this foundation? Great informative videos! Ps. Chanel has excellent products. Unfortunately my mall no longer carries it so I had to guess at color match.

So sorry to hear that Chanel isn’t as accessible to you anymore! I believe Becca has a really good water based primer! But I personally love silicone primers. They do the best in smoothing. Or if you just add extra moisturizer, a primer might not be necessary.

Thank you for making this video Andrea! It is really helpful. I have the Les Beiges cushion gel touch foundation (which I love) so the sales associate sold me the Les Beiges healthy glow foundation today (I wanted the same formulation but in bottle instead of the compact). I was disappointed in the packaging because it's not in a nice glass bottle with squared lid like the Vitalumiere. After watching your video, I understood that the Vitalumiere formulation isn't right for me. I subscribed and looking forward to watching your other videos.

Can I still call you and try to do a color match over the phone??? I am currently using Estee Lauder 2W1 Dawn. I love Estee Lauder's Double wear because it's a great color match AND it lasts all day!!! But, I am looking for something that won't settle into my wrinkles!!! I would like to get the Chanel Lumiere Perfection Velvet to try and see if it will look good with my skin. What would be a good color match for me? Or do I need to consider just changing up my primer. I normally use Arbonne's primer (silicone based) but just tried smashbox photo finishing and the Estee Lauder seems to not settle into my wrinkles as much. Any advice would be great!!! I'm asian and in my late 30's with lots of wrinkles :-(.

Hi, I use the Aqua Vit and am interested in what primer works best with this and the Les Beiges? Currently, I use the Hourglass primer. Not sure if it ideal.

It all depends on how you want your foundation to look. If you want it to skew on a more luminous side, I would suggest a luminous primer or an illuminating or hydrating primer. If you want a more matte or longwearing finish then I would suggest a mattifying on or a longwear primer

Lol you can totally use it! But just make sure to use the smoothing primer right over it to make sure the foundation doesn’t stick. I mentioned that I had that issue in the video. Something like benefit porefessional or the Makeup Forever Smoothing primer works too!

Would you say Le Teint Ultra Tenue is comparable to MAC Studio Fix Fluid in regards to coverage and longevity?

I would say they're pretty similar in function. It's been a while since I've played with the MAC Studio Fix foundation but from what I remember and from what I can compare, the Le Teint foundation definitely does extremely well with coverage and longevity. I literally wore it for 18 hours lol but the MAC foundation is more blendable.
