I was really impressed with this foundation. Looked beautiful all day long on my skin...never moved, never oxidized. I too was shocked. The color was perfect. I have mature skin and was afraid it would not work for me, but I love it. Never called in my lines...and I agree, its a beautiful foundation.

I don't like a full coverage foundation on a daily basis and your description and the way the Ultra Le Teint Velvet foundation looks on you is impressive. The foundation looks beautiful on you! I have not tried it because I thought it wouldn’t work with my dehydrated skin. But next time I’m shopping for a foundation, I’ll try getting a sample of this and the ultra le teint. Right now I’m trying to use up my Guerlain l’essentiel. I like everything about it except it doesn’t blur my pores very well. I think that’s because it has a thicker texture, so a more liquid foundation might be nicer.

Hi Allison, I love my Ultra Le Teint foundation. When velvet was introduced, I too loved it. But when I learned that the jar doesn’t come with a pump, I backed out. After watching your video I understand why it doesn’t it come with a pump, the foundation is too thin. I prefer the pump version, because it’s very convenient and also doesn’t expose entire foundation to oxygen. I personally don’t like SPF in my foundation as it looks glossy or gives flashback but this foundation has very little SPF so it should be fine. Thank you for your video, love 💕 your eye makeup!

Great to watch your review. Coincidently I got that exact sample to try with my Chantecaille Hummingbird products. I tried the foundation around 3 years ago and it looked awful. I have dry combination mature skin. I may give it another go after seeing how it looks on you. I use a thicker moisturiser now so it might sit better. Love your eye look.

Hi 🙂 if you have tried Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation, how would you compare it to the Chanel Ultra Le Teint and the Velvet Le Teint? I’m currently using the GA but I want to try something new 😉 I’ve tried NARS sheer glow, it’s too dewy, IT CC cream, too thick, Estée Lauder, shade range not good 😫 my skin is normal/dry and I’m in my 50’s. I use aha and bha acids so my skin is very smooth but can get dry at times.

Hi Ava! I love the GA luminous silk foundation too! I think the Velvet foundation from Chanel is really, really nice. But, if you can get a sample do so because it is suppose to be for normal/oily skin types but it just magically works on my dehydrated skin.

Hi! Health Canada issues a DIN number to products whose SPF is approved. If no such number is approved or the brand opts to not apply for a DIN then the SPF information must be hidden for the Canadian market.
