This is the most exciting release in many years. Camellia have been used in Japan for centuries but this release has a modern feel and the minimal streamlined routine is appealing. My only concern is the fragrance as I have sensitive skin. I ordered the deepest shade of LIP balm from ULTA and cannot wait to try it out. The nude beige and rosewood shades are on my wishlist. Keep up the great content!

The lip and cheek balm is the best! I have been wearing it all weekend. It’s now Sunday afternoon and my lips feel so smooth, hydrated and plumped despite the balm wearing off hours ago. Definitely will be back for more colours. thank you for the lip brush tip. I hate sticking my finger in stuff too.

@@krisushi1 I haven’t tried the straight lip balm from Chanel. I prefer a nourishing balm with SPF but I don’t have particularly dry lips thanks to the Qld humidity. In fact if this line included SPF it would be pretty perfect. I am 48 with fine lines developing in full lips - no filler and noticed the lip texture smoothed after using this consistently. I’m keen to try the foundation too.

@@krisushi1 I use to live in Melbourne years ago and yes the weather is so much drier there. I went through a stage recently with really dry elbows until I started dry brushing my skin. I found the ‘ritual Oil’ which is basically moringa oil with blue lotus really helpful. You can get that online. It’s A beauty so nice and local. I colour swatched the Chanel in store as I had an invitation to get some free samples of the Chanel NO.1 skincare from Myers. Interestingly the Rosewood ran way to cool on my fair skin and I thought the beige would be too dark. It’s so annoying that Mecca and Sephora don’t have Chanel. Their return policy is so good. We have so many supply issues here so I shop online a lot. I was super excited for the Holiday quad but I did swatch in store before Christmas and found it too glittery and less of a shimmer. It’s a weird formula too but a good collector item. I did nab the 100th anniversary bottle of N0.5 with the bottle packaging. I’m interested in the new Mediterranean quad for 2022. It looks more pigmented. I went crazy at the Black Friday sales and need to take a break too 😆 I’m concentrating on 2022 new release that is collectable that I really love this year.

I purchased the balm which I love and can’t wait to try the foundation samples. I have frequently been sensitive to Chanel foundations so my fingers are crossed. I can wear and love their Water Tint. My sister lives in France and is in to clean products and was surprised that Americans have issues with fragrance. It’s almost impossible to find fragrance free even in the natural health food stores. My sister said the French women will not give up their fragrance. Interesting to see if that will change over time.

Wow the foundation looks fantastic on you. I have used it 3 times and love it. I find it so easy to apply with my fingers. I also have a couple of the blush/lip and my favourite shade is the Rosewood but would like to try the the beige nude that was oos and the wake up pink that you have.

The new No1 skincare line from Chanel is fantastic. I went to my local Chanel boutique yesterday and I tried everything!! I purchased the cleanser(powder to foam) that makes your skin very soft and deeply clean your pores. It is perfect for my combination skin! I got samples for the rest of the products to try home. I was tempted to buy the cheek and lip balm, the No1 camellia which represents the actual camellia flower but I stop myself…. maybe in my next visit… what I like most is the serum mist which gives you an immediate glow to your face! Does the lip cheek balm last all day without fading and is it at all sticky ? . Does it dry down quickly . It has to stay moist on the lips but dry on the cheeks which is a strange concept . Thank you for your reply ?

I went yesterday to my local Chanel boutique and got the mist and balm, love them! I have to say that for me, applying the balm w a brush on cheeks works the best….next purchase will be the foundation, thanks for the review, I’m sold!

I’m so curious about this launch, and will most likely pick up several items. I agree that pots are not my favorite packaging, but I always carry a retractable lip brush with me. Often times I’ll load the brush and throw that in my bag instead of the full size product. Thanks for another wonderfully informative video!

For Chanel having the nerve to boast this as a more ‘natural’ line then adding SOOO much fragrance is laughable imo. The only skincare product I would be interested in for this reason is the eye cream. Their SPF is so highly rated I tried it awhile back and the fragrance practically choked me out. The foundation looks so pretty on you! I don’t wear foundation but your excitement about it makes me want to pick it up❤️I ordered the lip/cheek balm from Ulta, can’t wait to receive. BR12 is my shade for fair/light cool undertone

BR12 is what I would suggest as well. From my understanding in regard to Chanel foundations the BD shades run more yellow (warm), where BR shades lean rosy or red (cool) in undertone. The shades w just the B, such as B10 are said to be neutral in undertone.

How does this foundation hold up during a work day? I don’t have a lot of time to freshen up during my work days of about 10 hours, so curious if this stays put! As they only offer this online where I live it has to be a blind buy. I do have a bit to cover, blemishes , flaky skin etc so need a decent coverage! Thank you

Unfortunately, the Vitalumiere's lightest shade here (Limpede 10) is waay too dark and yellow for me as I use 005 in Lancome Teint Idole. Such a shame with the limited shade range.

The foundation looks beautiful on you as do most foundations as your skin is flawless. However, I saw one vlogger try it and it was so sheer / light you could see all her imperfections, it did nothing to improve her complexion. Do you rate this one above the Dior Natural Nude? I have lots of blemishes and sunspots which the Dior reduces, but I wonder about this Chanel. I don't want to buy it and realise it is not suitable, as it is not cheap.
