I still remember smelling Chanel No. 19 at a department store when I was a young teenager and loving it. This version of Chanel No. 19 sounds lovely from the way you’re describing it. The bottle is so beautiful too. 💚

I have a bottle of this, to me it is definitely getting out of the shower perfume. The initial blast is quite screechy but my goodness the drydown is absolute heaven. It is very very powdery. The sillage on me is amazing, people can smell you before they see you. If you like powdery perfumes and this is not in your collection, where have you been? It is worth the investment. When I was late teens, my Aunt had bought my mother and I Chanel perfumes and I choose the 19 and what I remember, loved the green notes. You brought back some great memories! Have been on the fence to buy, will have to sample. Would love to check the poudre out as well!

The EDP works best for me. Although, Poudre is beautiful. The EDP is a little less challenging. Great video Arlene. You sounded very relaxed which was just what I needed at the end of my work day. Thank you!

Great review! My favourite version of No 19 is the eau de toilette as it’s the least floral and most unisex one in my view (I’m a man). I just love the combination of soapy aldehydes and grassy fresh galbanum in the opening with the elegant powderiness of iris and a touch of leather in the basenotes. Heaven! Lasting power is very good for an eau de toilette. I remember liking the opening of No 19 Poudré a lot but then it all got a bit generic on my skin after a while. I should try it again though.

I also smelled this as a young adult/teenager (1) and got a sample. I aspired to the powdery elegant fragrance and I have worn it ever since then exclusively for 50 years. I just bought my daughter a bottle for her birthday inspired by The New Look and seeing Coco's story!

This is definitely a powdery iris, lipstick that has been rolled around in the grass! The powder and those aldehydes almost border on old lady but the vetiver and musk keep it from going there. This is a no nonsense, wear a crisp white linen shirt scent. I do love!

I like Chanel #19 EDT; my favorite is Chanel#19 EDP. I will buy the Poudre version. I'd love to try the Chanel #19 Parfum, but it is over my budget. Coco, Chanel 19, Cristalle are my favorite and beautiful Chanel perfumes. I love Coromandel, but it is also out of my budget. Chanel #5 is not a favorite, but I do respect the scent. Chanel # 22 is fine, better than #5.

This to me is the perfect green, carrot, fresh, iris purfume:) it’s so easy to wear. One of favorites. What a great review. Thanks for the time you put into your videos:) I totally get aldehydes. It’s very apparent in the beginning and then settles down and loses its fizz. It settles beautifully into the skin as time passes. It always stays a bit fresh and sweet on my skin.

This sounds interesting. I'd like a new Chanel in my collection. I only have one powdery scent, Tiffany Intense. Surprised me how far into the bottle I am. Tell my DH it's like the dry vermouth of perfume. The pear in it makes me happy.

Hi! Remembering you like pear in perfumes, have you tried the new perfume from Zara, "A Mochi Atelier"? It's gourmandish, smells like pear and sweet rice pudding. Haven't eaten mochis ever, so doesn't know how they taste/smell. But this perfume is gorgeous. Not very strong, but great for the price. It's from the Memories collection, and there was an other one also great, smelled like sweet lemon pastry. I bought that Mochi one, maybe will get lemony as well.

I remember buying IT for my ex girlfriend, smelling IT on the skin IT was just green i was disappointed, but when I smelled IT in the air it was mesmerizing,elegant softness, such a beautiful scent.
