Oh, Oxana. Thanks for sharing your experience. If only I had visited 31 Rue Cambon 19 years ago when I was in Paris for my honeymoon. I imagine the experience would have more magical with ample inventory and superior service in 2004 than what I can expect next year, 2024 when I plan to visit for my 20th anniversary. I had the same experience at 31 Rue Cambon last year. Waited in line for 2h. Asked for handbags and costume jewelry and they had next to nothing. "Everything we have is on display" is a popular line I've noticed lol. Would have preferred to know that before I wasted half my day. Went up to ready to wear and it was empty (everyone was downstairs), so I can understand the disconnect.

TFS your story.. it just leaves a bitter aftertaste… unpleasant… If this happened to me honestly it would turn me off. Yes I do like their products but don’t need to be treated like a secondary citizen because you are asking for items on sale. Then they should not even have a public sale.. that is the point???

Totally agree. It’s sad what’s happening with Chanel. I remember the days when I come shopping 🛍️ and was served drinks and long fun conversations with SA and other customers 😔 Deep sigh !

Yes! Luxury shopping nowadays is so really annoying!! If SA's acting rude etc they would never get my money nor commission. And yes! they are only nice if you indeed spend a lot of money which I won't unless I get the right treatment as a loyal customer. This attitude is now EVERYWHERE, unfortunately.

I don't understand this whole "we'll let you know when to drag your tired bones back to the store" system. Do they even tell you how long they will give you to return before your opportunity is passed onto someone else in the queue? This is how people end up travelling to Paris and spending their trip waiting around instead of experiencing the beautiful city :(
