watched your video 5 or so times .. decided yup i can do that .. bought the same set from jfcustoms on ebay .. waited 2 weeks to get to Australia .. got a pair of scissors and a screwdriver .. SUCCESS !!!!!! for the handbrake though .. I used double sided tape as I didnt have a hot glue gun - worked a treat .. soooo happy .. thanks for taking the time to make this video :D

i dont have a hot glue gun either... so it worked for you with the double sided tape? and it still holds after a month? because i want to do this myself and i dont want to buy a hot glue gun :D

@@philipscock1292 it's still not moved so yeah it's a success .. it is quite a snug fit because the leather is thicker than vinyl .. I'm happy .. I am sure you will be too :)

Nice video! One tip to cut plastic ties removing sharp ends I use a nail clipper. You get some kind of round shape easily.

Top tip: If you remove the plastic cover plate / tray just in front of the handbrake lever (gently lever it out between the gap at the front just behind the gear lever gaiter) , then the handbrake gaiter pops off very easily, as when it's still in place it holds the gaiter in at the front.

hello, i just wanted to ask if i take off whole plastic thingy , is it possible to somehow damage the stick or no? i saw someone say that its possible to damage it and make it harder to go from 1st to 2nd gear? sorry for bad english its not my native langauge :D
