I keep trying to tell him that Change still has a heavy following, and they should put the group back together again , and they actually were, until the pandemic hit. 😕 I don't know if you have Sirius XM satellite radio, but if you do, channel 50 plays at least 2 Change songs a day on that channel...so you can listen to them over there, as well. Thank you for being a fan! Please stay safe, and Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Guaranteed some of those kids will appreciate this music themselves. I think anyone who really loves music will probably have a foundation of their parents music taste (unless they had none!), or simply "not care" that its old (cos its just good). My parents (music people both) had a huge impact on my love for music. One of the biggest positive influences! Music taste!!

Back when I was in my 20's, as a D.J. in clubs and parties, I would play this song, and take the pitch up to a +2 to get the song to play faster to get the crowd on the floor. No matter what audience I had to please, this song did it for me. I'm Close to 50 years old now, and I like today's hit music, but Disco/Dance music like this bring back memories.

Along with lots of Freestyle, SOS Band, Gap Band, Shannon and lots of New Wave dance music it was on heavy rotation at the 80s San Francisco underground warehouse parties. Generation X baby here, I would argue that this one of the THE biggest songs on the early 80s but damn...that year 1984 was a MONSTER year for everything in entertainment! There were these two guys and this chick (MJ, Prince, Madonna) who dominated the entire decade! But this song was a killer that year! Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were cranking out hits! It would be just 2 years later they created the masterpiece known as 'Control'.

The failure of the 1983 album left future of Change in jeopardy. Petrus wisely hired recently sacked Time members Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to write and produce what would become Change Of Heart in 1984. The album did well internationally, returning the group to the charts in Europe and the USA. The title track became Change's first top ten R&B hit in three years.
