This is one of seventeen little CG movies that are featured in SRW Alpha (the Playstation version). This video involves the Getter Team performing a combination test with their Getter Machines.

Getter 1's design was a combination between it's Armageddon incarnation (notice it's chubby proportions) and the 70s design (the cape and the transformation).

This game honestly had the best versions of Getters 1,2 and 3. Shame you have to leave it in favor of Getter G. If it were possible,I would keep the classic Getter Robo from the time I get it to the final fight with Neo Granzon.

The only reason we don’t see much of Getter 1 these days as far as I’m concerned is because it doesn’t have the power to back up it’s badassery anymore, as G, Shin, and Arc outclass it in terms of raw power

Apart from that, the getter machines apparently are made out of a polymorphic alloy, which allows them to change forms, somehow. They aren't made of solid pieces because of the nature of getter rays, which can cause those solid metal pieces to fall apart.
