Thanks Joe! I chose Studio One years ago after watching your videos and I'm still very happy with it years later. You are a very gifted artist and teacher!

Huge fan of studio one, this is the DAW I use to put out a song a week here on KZbin. Now I want to be clear, I am a Dumbass, and if I can do it, I am sure whoever is reading this can do it as well. This software can be as basic as you need and will grow with you. If you can afford to , spend the $17 to get a month of Presonus Sphere, you can use a Professional Daw and see what it has to offer. I am not sponsored or in anyway affiliated with this company, they don't have any idea who I am, but I could not do what I am doing without them.

Us Pro Tools users find the Pro Tools similarities and features appealing on StudioOne. Give us similar audio Fine tune editing and that will be the final deciding factor to abandon Pro Tools for many of us! I love how similar this looks to Pro Tools. I get it's different, but many of us want to jump ship to something that can behave similar to PT without a steep learning curve. Thank you for listening to your customers unlike Avid and how they continually take advantage of us.

Do it and dont look back, Been a pro user going on 8 years since version 3 and i can say with great enthusiasm if you are a MUSICIAN SONGWRITING ENGINEER like me you will make many discoveries in how your process and workflow will improve ....DEFINITELY dual large screens with 16gb or more memory on an I5 or greater four to eight core processor and I personally use a Fader port 8 because ive had an evolving homestudio since the Alesis ADAT era spawned the home recording revolution. I like tactile mixxing and still wish id went with a Faderport 16 but thats a tangent i wont bore you with. I Summ up by saying STUDIO ONE 5 is worth every penny and youll find the included Plugins are honestly all you need and with the inclusion of MELOWDYNE essentials the power in post editing is off the charts. DO It DO IT DO IT..... I came from experiences usage of SONAR, pro tools OF TEN YEARS AGO, SAMPLITUDE, AND CUBASE of about 6 to 7 years ago. I have material you can hear at SOUNDCLOUD.COM/GROOVETANK and REVERBNATION.COM/GROOVETANK or here on youtube you can listen to this kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHiYpmiigr53hNU (PLUSH - COVER by Stone Temple Pilots) or this kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmeyZXaeZcqpeKc (The Unforgiven - cover by Metallica) both just ALL humbly....Me ,Myself and I if you want to hear .... the postings arent all S-one but if you listen to ANY of the very popular and recognisable Cover Songs youll get an S1 impression keeping in Mind its ALL the DEFINITION of a ONE MAN, One Person peformance using EZ DRUMMER 3 or tapping out on a Akai Pad controller and performing ALL other instruments and vocals old school (keys are programmed mostly ) Ime not sponsored or endorsed in any way ... although i did get my first pro copy of ver 3 comped since i was a pro audio salesperson at SAM ASH once a long time ago.

The mixer in Studio One urgently needs an overhaul. It is too confusing, everything is somehow too small and squashed. Everything is very difficult to recognise. You should take a look at the mixers in Cakewalk and Cubase.

Martin I absolutely agree with you. This is the only S1 weakness in my view. In Cubase you can customise the width of the channels so that they all exactly fit the screen without having to scroll left or right. In S1 you only have the 2 options. I've requested this feature of Presonus more than once and with every update so far I have been disappointed when it is unchanged.

The other video i saw did not show the routing of Sends. Is there an option to make a send pre-effect? it really would cut down on the use of Busses if a Send could send original signal to a FX. Also, just a though! On the Mix view, right above the outgoing routing that's above the pan in Studio One 6 there is like a horizontal meter of some sort. If that could be like a clip indicator that you can set to say K-12 -1 or -2 or -3 etc.... that would light up red would be soooo nice! this would reduce the need for a meter on each track. the vertical faders meter is so small for viewing when you have many tracks and plugins on inserts and sends!

Can you please do a video explain the routing of Bus, VCA, and FX with and without use of Sends routing to a Bus or FX? i want to use a Send as a original copy (Unaffected signal). Also, can you use a splitter on a send. Like add a splitter on the send insert itself? If so what's the routing of it. i need a send that is pre-effects on that channel.

@marcotrosi2 жыл бұрын
it's not F3. The F-keys have 2 functionalities. Either they work as F1 - F12 keys or these functional keys like changing brightness, volume, etc. You can toggle that temporarily by holding the fn key. Or you can toggle it globally with the setting you show, and then the fn key toggles again but in the other direction, okay that's what toggling means.

I have been looking for a simple answer everywhere... hope someone will reply here. After the recent update of studio one. My Media browser doesn't recognize Rex2 files anymore. I noticed it can be shown in browser by adding as file type in options.... but still studio one won't recognize it as audio file and won't play as a loop. Is it a studio one bug or windows issue? 'coz I had fresh installation of windows prior to installation of new version. #JoeGilder

From what, Virtual Instruments? Your inter face determine physical outputs, and for example EZDrummer 3 gives as many outputs as you can use, every different company wikl be a little different as to how to set up you virtual outs to the DAW . I typically run 6 to 7 for drums. EZD3 gives you a single track in the arranger since spreading out the mididata to multiple tracks for one instrument would be ridiculous but you have the them visible in the mixer ..... Remember ANY track, instrument etc can be hidden from the track list inspector.
