So, #1 is thanks for the tip about the “can’t locate the key” message. We’ll try that. It seems we can only drive if the key is placed in the little cubby. I have a VW and I LOVE the fact that I can leave my key in my purse. Not having to dig for a key has changed my life! #2 For two people camping, I think the 4 seats is wasted space. There should be an option for three, then you could have your closet. Or,the additional seats could be removable. If you only need them once in a while when you have guests, it’s not worth the space. IMO. Thanks for the tour!

It sat in the Camping World parking lot for 2 months waiting to be repaired. They keep saying they where waiting for parts. They gave up and went and picked it up. They open the door and the new sink and regulator where sitting on the floor. He fixed every thing his self in about 1 hour.

We picked up our Grech Terreno-Ion “Tour” back in August. Exact floor plan as your Strada-Ion Tour, just shorter. You can get both floor plans in either the Strada or Terreno. We went with the Terreno due to its shorter length knowing the rear storage was less, and we chose the “Tour” floor plan since we wanted the wardrobe and larger refrigerator. Also one correction, you stated a shorter wheelbase than the Strada. They are both are built on the same 170” wheel base chassis, the Strada is simply the extended version with the extra 2 ft hanging over the rear. Also, although they state the Terreno is 22ft, the label inside the driver side door says 277.5”. So I measured it from bumper to bumper, and yup, it’s 23ft, not 22ft, so not sure why Grech says 22ft. And as you stated, although we have only had it out a few times so far we have had zero issues with it other than a few settings in the Inverter/Charger that were set wrong. Our Dealer simply would not respond you our questions so I called Grech directly, and I was speaking with a person in less than a minute who then walked me through correcting the settings through the firefly control panel. Excellent support! We love it so far!
@LivinRVision2 жыл бұрын
Actually, as mentioned, the Terreno-Ion Lounge we showed in this video is 15” shorter than the Strada-Ion we are in. (We mentioned total length not wheelbase). We are here at the Grech RV booth today in Big Bear at the Adventure Van Expo and asked again just to make sure. Glad you love yours! 🧡😊🤓

@titomesserli262 жыл бұрын
They do not. Both the Strada and Terreno models are built on the 170” wheel base chassis, with the Strada using the Extended version, more hanging out over the rear axel which is what gives you the extra storage FYI, we own a 2022 Terreno-Ion
@gt-c-2 жыл бұрын
@@titomesserli26 Greetings Tito. I am also looking at the Terreno-Ion but waiting for the 2023 model. My concern on the Strada is that there is way too much hanging over the rear and getting in inclined places/driveways would scratch the bottom...What are your thoughts on your Terreno?
@titomesserli262 жыл бұрын
@@gt-c- we chose the Terreno due to its shorter length, and although the Strada looks great it does seem a bit long in the rear, just like the Airstream Interstate which we also,looked at. However, you do lose a substantial amount of storage above and behind the couch. Also, as we discovered, at least on our Terreno, the chassis, I.e. the Mercedes end of the deal did not have a number of features we were expecting. Why? We test drove a Strada since our dealer (Washington) did not have a Terreno, it was brought up from Oregon for us. We assumed, our fault, the only difference was the length. We should had verified the expected features 0n the Terreno’s chassis before they brought it up to us. But, not a big deal really, we love the Terreno so far.
@gt-c-2 жыл бұрын
@@titomesserli26 Tito...thank you. Would love to chat and get more details (chassis features)...
@titomesserli262 жыл бұрын
@@gt-c- as far as chassis features, we did not order our Terreno, so it came with whatever Grech ordered for its Terreno’s at the time, which we thought was the same for its Strada. I am sure if you ordered one you could get it fully loaded, along with I am sure a very long wait. In any case, here is what it did not have that we were expecting: - In dash navigation: No big deal since it does support CarPlay - TPMS: again, not that big a deal since we purchased a TireMinder system with 6 sensors. And if you don’t like the external sensors I am sure Mercedes or Les Schwab could install internal sensors - Electric adjustable seats. Turns out, having manual seats makes it quicker to turn the seats around since you can slide them forward/backwards a lot faster than the electric seats move in the Strada we test drove - Adjustable air-suspension: It does have electronically controlled air suspension, but you can’t manually lower the rear end if necessary when you pull into an RV site like Brian & Michelle have done many times in their Strada. So, nothing that stopped us accepting the Terreno, and our Dealer did take a bit more off the already discounted price due to the missing features we were expecting. So despite those features we are so far very happy with our purchase, despite its price. But, as you know you get what what you pay for

But oh well lesson learned
@LivinRVision2 жыл бұрын
Thousand Trails has many parks and has been around for many years. Those of us that see all the parks across the country will notice that they are dumping money into many of them and still have many more to do. Like anything, when something gets old, it needs updated. Many of their parks are very nice also, those that have been updated. The value is still unbeatable from what we have experienced. We have had to stay at places outside of the Thousand Trails system when traveling to places where there are no TT parks and paid anywhere from $40-60 a night and those parks were in worse condition. The thing about a Thousand Trails membership is, even when you don’t stay in them all the time, they still pay for themselves in a very short time. Once you start camping without the membership is when you’ll wish you had it. For someone like yourself that may not need the membership to cover the entire country, then you have to look at where you will be most of the time and see if it will pay off by doing the math of course. We just don’t want to see others get misinformation without all the details.

We sold the Airstream back around March and have been only testing the Grech RV Strada-Ion since as ambassadors.

Wish I got 18.1 miles to the gallon, lol but it was a stretch to go from a 3000SF house to a Class A, I don't think I could do the "van life". I'm already at TTO. See you soon.

Those gas prices are nuts! It's about $2.00 less a gal. in VA. No wonder there's so many homeless people there, they could not afford to pay there rent after filling up there gas tank.

Wow, $250K for a van. Your rich. We watch for the adventures anyway.

You must have missed quite a few episodes. We are ambassadors and only testing this Class B for a while. However, the similar Airstream model is priced higher and of less quality. Agree though, they are not expensive units and have a place for a certain market.

They don't own the Van, they're being sponsored by the company for a year to use the Van

@Carla Smith We actually don’t have any timeframe commitments with Grech RV. We are just going along as long as we or they want.

I watch this series all the time. May I make a suggestion? We have on order, a “B” van built by the most innovative constructor. The wait time for one is about a year. No black tank, no wood, no solor,no propane. Call them. Tell Terrie I said hi!🙏

I don’t think I could live full time in a van. We have a dog and that would not be enough room for us and her.😊
@LivinRVision2 жыл бұрын
Like anything else, they aren’t for everyone to live full time in. It works well for us because of our work/explore lifestyle. You have to be comfortable, that’s for sure. The model we are testing is a 24’ which is longer than most Class Bs.

We own a 2022 Grech Terreno-Ion, we do not full time in it. However we do have two large dogs that are always with us, two Borzois, and we make it work. It’s a comedy of errors sometimes getting into bed, but the dogs love it cause they get to sleep with us
