At 15:09 in the video just to the right of the 90 degree elbow on the water line at the fitting on the left side of the water meter you will notice a few drips of water. You must have a small leak at that fitting. It is straight down from Tylers left shoulder below where the little braided wire is attached that lets the water company know if you took the cover off the meter. It drips twice while Tyler is talking.

Hi Tyler and Todd. I love your show and look forward to each new episode. I am a prod owner of my second Prius. I watched you with a battery issue on your Prius and have a few comments. The first thing most people don't know is that the 12 vdc battery that went dead in your Prius is used to provide the electracy to the electronics and light to the car until the electronics boot up. This battery is not used to start the ice motor on the car. Once the electronics have booted they are then powered from the 240 vdc battery under the back seat. This main battery is what starts the ICE motor when the computer need it to run. What I am getting to is it takes a small amount of energy to boot the system up and get you hooked to the main battery. You will know the system is booted as soon as the dash board comes to life. By this I mean you dash board lights up and you have all your gauges showing . Once you have power to the 12 vdc and push the start button the dash comes on in a few seconds. Once the dash is on it gets its power from the 240 vdc battery. To get your Prius to boot take very little power. You could use a small portable jump pack to do this. These jump packs are inexpensive compared to having someone come and jump it for you. This might get you through until you can get the battery replaced. I had a 12 v battery replace on my pervious Prius and It cost me $250.00 US 6 years ago.

One day in Banff N.P. a Moose actually wandered through my campsite. Most awesome thing ever. I had to check out the West Edmonton Mall just to say I've been there and it was so worth it. I missed my plane in Houston because I forgot what time zone I was in. They got me as far east as Baltimore where I would have had to stay in their airport all night but I weasled my way in with a line of strangers getting hotel vouchers because they legitimately missed a connection, so I caught the shuttle and had a good night's sleep and flew first class to Rhode Island the next day. Have you guys thought about getting a shipping container on the property back home to store your stuff until you build the cabin
@r6095o4 жыл бұрын
As far as moving stuff... Not sure if Canada has this same kind of service (I believe they do) but here in the US www.upack.com offers their “relo cubes” - reasonable approx 8x8 foot containers where they drop off, you pack, they come and pick up and ship it to a storage facility near your other location and can keep it inside in their storage for a monthly rent fee up to 6+ months. (Or longer?). Meant for long distance moves but totally could be a solution if you really want to keep some stuff and can’t figure out all details at the moment. I’ve moved with them before and was happy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHiuZn94o92knrs
@tylerandtodd4 жыл бұрын
Hey!! We're thinking of using a shipping pod and doing self storage until the cabin is built. We'd have to decide where we'd want the container to go relatively permanently and with so much snow down now it would be difficult to see where we'd want it!

Wow, stuff that Tyler says is “extremely annoying” would send me screaming into the night. Tyler and Todd, masters of the understatement. In all that you still managed to give the people what they want, silly and semi-filthy yet KZbin approved jokes. 👍Quality content. Here’s a fun factoid, 2” - 4” of snow will paralyze DC. Really. I’m not tough enough for Canada. I would die. At the very least I would need understatement lessons. Don’t even get me started on polite. TERRIFIC job renovating those spaces! Nicest short term rentals on the planet. Working hard for the money honey!

Your organizational skills are wonderful. An absolute necessity when you have your hands in so many projects. Not only currently but also what you've done in the past - having access to the contract, etc. What a great quality. You inspire me to be better at that. Your patience and kindness and the love you show to each other is so important in a relationship- and always with a smile and a laugh. As always I think you two are terrific and wish you all good things.

Thanks Pete! Todd bought a little small handheld scanner so he can quickly log receipts/contracts whenever they come in!

pro tip from norway: wool underwear, like a thin one for upper and lower body, as well as gloves and socks, scarf and hat... my mom would force me to wear it even when I went to middle school. and yes I was that kid that had to do some stripping and take it off during class, but I was never the one that froze ;) thanks mom

Woollen underwear! Isn't that itchy? As an Australian can't imagine anything other than cotton or bamboo.
@ryanbee31784 жыл бұрын
I’m Canadian and never heard of that before, I should definitely look into that.

@@classicambo9781 Normal wool is itchy but merino wool is not. When it's cold I use two to four layers of clothing and one of them is wool. Right now it's -25°C here in Finland so three layers was needed today, one cotton, one wool and one fashion (jeans) 😂.
