The first show I ever saw with my wife was Josh in Athens, GA in 2008. She's my ex-wife now, and I still miss her, and I think about singing this song to her almost every day. I'm sure we'll never be together again, so every night I close my eyes and keep on swimming.

I too heard this song on Parenthood Tuesday evenning. I had to go to hula the next day and then fastforward through the Parenthood episode to get to the credits, but it wasn't listed. So i just went to you tube and typed in time love and change of time and sure enough there it was. It's a lovely song. The guy that posted this listed it as May 23, when it was March 23.

I too discovered this on parenthood, and something about it caught my attention. For one thing, it fight that ending scene well. Like others said, nbc dropped the ball on the credits, googling was the only refuge for those who wished to seek out this excellent song. I will definitely check out some other of Josh's stuff.

Change of Time Lyrics I had a dream last night I dream't that I was swimming And the stars up above Directionless and drifting Somewhere in the dark Were the sirens and the thunder And around me as I swam The drifters who'd gone under Time, love Time, love Time, love It's only a change of time I had a dream last night And rusting far below me Battered hulls and broken hardships Leviathan and Lonely I was thirsty so I drank And though it was salt water There was something 'bout the way It tasted so familiar The black clouds I'm hanging This anchor I'm dragging The sails of memory rip open in silence We cut through the lowlands All hands through the salt lands The white caps of memory Confusing and violent I had a dream last night And when I opened my eyes Your shoulder blade, your spine Were shorelines in the moon light New worlds for the weary New lands for the living I could make it if I tried I closed my eyes I kept on swimming

@marksamuelcohen I lost my best friend Kathleen to cancer. I typed in "Kathleen" and discovered Josh. Then I found "Girl in the War". Both discribed her as if Josh knew her. I visit these songs often as a memorial. They bring me comfort and I feel closer to Kathy. Every song of Joshs' grabs at another memory. And isn't that what we hang on to, to get through the tough times? Thanks for your comment.

I woke up to this on NPR on an interview - not so sure about this production! Solo guitar was great but I wanted to re-record this song myself with some more instruments but this is a bit crazy - Your heartstrings are pulled by the Eb-Bb-Ab-Bb chords with the third in the bass for Bb and Ab - a diatonic walkdown in Eb that keeps going to the 5th (Bb) as if that's the tonic but doesn't really resolve there so you start over at Eb

This was I believe the third episode, of the first season which would have been last March. The song came on during the last few minutes of the show when their daughter introduced her boyfriend to the family. The dialogue of everyone talking was muted so it was just this song, it was a very poignant scene.
