Danny Cavanagh: "‘Untouchable, Part 1’ was written when I lived in Norway. It's about letting go of love and moving on, even though you want to make final statement. It's a final statement of love, blessing somebody and about moving past that, but still stating how beautiful your feelings are. You can't hold on too much to somebody, you have to let them be who they are. If you really love somebody, you let them be themselves. That's the whole idea. You have to let go, if somebody is not going to feel what you want from them, you must let go. That's the story behind that one."

yep, this song hit me so hard back then for years. getting angry because not to be loved from a seemingly beautiful relationship, but in the end i can let it go and let the world do its job.

To this day this song still keeps me alive after my hard breakup 14 years ago. It makes me feel sad for what happened to me but also happy that it kept me strong throughout the hardship i went against. To all of you who went thro similar life situations, I hope you are good, I hope you moved forward and I hope you are better than yesterday. I love you.

I actually sent this to her when she was moving back from UK to USA and it wasn't clear if we were going to carry on in a serious sense or not, she already had tried to pass me on to another closer lady, her reply was "why did you send this to me?" it's never been clear what the subtext of that question was but I think I will be ok, and I hope you will too :)

The first time I listened to this I was free camping with a couple of friends in a small beach in Fournous Ikaria in Greece. That summer I had broken up with my girlfriend after I don't know how many years. So I am lying on the beach, the sun had just set and we had just finished a bottle of strong tsipouro. One of my friends put this on a half dead cd player and it blew my mind. I sat there gazing at the stars and put the track on repeat till I fell asleep. Next morning I walked into town and got on the ship to go back home. The ex girlfriend turned into current wife and I couldn't be happier

Years later I STILL tear up from the beauty of this song. My heart breaks a little each time (one of the 2,000 times I’ve watched this performance) but it’s such a masterpiece, I welcome the tears. Oh what I wouldn’t give to see them perform live, especially THIS. This song and performance is just perfection from the first second to the very last. Chills.

I will never be thankful enough to an old friend of mine that introduced me to this song; he asked me “is there a song that has ever made you cry?” I said no and then he told me to listen to this song. I didn’t cry the first time but I fell in love with it immediately, it blew me away. I kept listening to it and eventually it happened, I broke down and cried, so hard I thought it would never stop. No song will ever compare. Thank you, my old friend, I hope you’re doing great!

My dog passed away exactly a year ago this past Friday. The lines: "I had to let you go To the setting sun I had to let you go And find a way back home" absolutely tore me up when I heard this song and I thought about her. I was sobbing like a baby. I had her since she was just a pup. Out of a litter of six other pups, she chose me and followed me all around my parents' farm the entire week I stayed with them. When my parents asked me if I wanted to take her, I didn't hesitate to bring her home with me. She was my hiking, walking, running friend and confidant. She helped me get through some very rough times and was always there to protect, love and comfort me and my kids. She didn't trust anyone else but me and my kids except for my girlfriend who eventually became my fiance and, now, my wife. Her loss left us all with a big, gaping hole in our home and hearts. Fortunately, she left behind a son of her own whom we still have and cherish. He's helped fill that void she left and continues to do so everyday. I'll never forget her. Thank you, Anathema, for this song. It's truly a blessing.

I've been a fan of Anthema since their early beginning in 1992. They've change a lot in their sound since then, but they are still one of the best around and still one of my favourites.

Untouchable Part 2 05:33 Why I should feel this way? Why I should feel this way? Why I should feel the same? Is something I cannot say Something I cannot say Something I can't explain I feel you outside at the edge of my life I see you walk by at the edge of my side Why I should follow my heart? Why I should follow my heart? Why I should fall apart? Why I should follow my dreams? Why I should follow my dreams? Why I should be at peace? I feel you outside at the edge of my life I see you walk by at the edge of my side I had to let you go to the setting sun I had to let you go and find a way back home (x2) (When I dream, all I see is you When I dream, all I see is) (x2) I've never seen a light that's so bright (x3) Blinded by the light that's inside Blinded by the light that's inside Blinded by the light that's inside you I had to let you go to the setting sun I had to let you go and find a way back home

to all those who say that this is enlightenment, to understand this is to listen to their older albums, the struggle, the pain, the emotional journey that this band has been trough, I'm so fucking glad I've been trough this since the beginning, every fucking album smth new, smth better, a journey trough decades from doom metal to prog to the fucking cure for my depressions, the amounts of alcohol and cigarettes invested in all those nights with their music in my brain, there's smth i can not explain, there's smth that kept me goin' , this music kept me fuckin' alive

It is almost unbelievable what Anathema's music has become. And Vincent's voice has never been more beautiful, so open, confident and strong. It is like awakening. I grew up with them in my hardest times and it is so good to see them discovering the beauty of love and life, dropping the suffering. It is magical for me - I stopped listening to them for a while, got interested in spirituality and then one day...I decided to check what's going on with Anathema. I was positively shocked to discover that their new inspiration is Eckhart Tolle!

Ummmmmh... Ummmmmh..... Okokokojokokoj Okay....I don't know/care the exactly meaning of "goosebumps" (in Spain, spanish people say " piel de gallina" , "carne de gallina 🐓") But this song don't "elevate" my hart, don't "falls" my soul and... nothing at all about this kind of stupid things and/ or nonsenses... Fucking shit! Hajajajah jajkjajaj!!!

First listened to this four years ago, I recall calling this a good song with cheesy lyrics. But now, I don't feel it's cheesy anymore, the burst of emotions and feelings towards the person was so strong and pure.

Well I just saw these guys live for the first time and all I can is wow. Even though it was a small venue, they put just as much energy and feeling into their performance as they did here. They were engaging with the audience and their pure exuberance lifted everyone in the room. If you have a chance to see them, I warmly recommend it.
