I just acquired one of these. There are several hardware variations of these, i.e. the HDD enclosures are not the same, the motherboard covers are not the same. One even has 3 screws attaching the back cover. Some motherboards have display port output, etc. The HP Pavilion 23-p027c looks the same as this one. A 2.5 inch SSD will not fit into the 3.5 inch HDD enclosure & still plug into the SATA power & data connectors. It must be mounted using the screw holes on the bottom of the SSD. You will have to drill 3 new holes into the top of the HDD enclosure; the top left one cannot be used since it won't contact the metal. The lower left will align with one of the tiny vent holes. The upper & lower right holes get drilled very close to the edge of the enclosure.

Yea, every hp model number is subtly different which is why I include the whole model number in the video description and voice.

thank you so much for this i have this all in 1 and would like to see a graphics card upgrade tutourial

Not possible on things like cheap laptops and all in one computers. The graphics chip will be soldered onto the motherboard

The MB layout and fan is completely different then in my HP 23 all in one, is a good time to do this upgrade, memory is super cheap 1 TB SSD on Amazon is $36

Always SSD... but also go for a good brand! Don't buy a random Chinese name.

@@freename yep went perfect, much faster now! Gave it a good clean on the inside at the same time. Just the only thing I’m worried about is the screen flickers around the edges when you first turn it on, has always done it just doesn’t look right.

What a great tutorial video! Is there a 1TB SSD hard drive(s) you would recommend? Any thing else I need to purchase to move over to an SSD drive? Just curious as I saw in a comment below that you were most likely upgrading to SSD. Cheers and thanks again!
@freename2 жыл бұрын
Any really. Likely a Kingston or Crucial drive.

I have this very same pc for some reason it kept killing hard drives must have had maybe 8 drives one was replaced under warranty so I brought it for £60 or my mate as I thought it must be something he was doing to it well 1 SSD swap and it's never let me down I have upgraded the ram to 16gb all in all one of the best all in one computers I have ever had only downside now is it can't run windows 11
@freename Жыл бұрын
If you download the windows 11 install iso then use Rufus (make sure you go to the genuine website, not the fake virus advert sometimes appearing at the top of google) you can create a windows 11 install USB which bypasses the hardware requirements and still works! Likely needs a fresh install though, I suspect you can't upgrade your existing OS.

@@freename I did that but went back to windows 10 yes it ran much better but Microsoft turn of some things like windows security and I will not pay for third party security as the built in one is really good for what it is

hi, i have a pc like this1 but the model is 23 h017c, mine looks the same as yours, I was thinking about upgrading my hd to an SSD, however i was wondering which caddy case would fit into this?. the ssd (which is alot smaller than the normal hd), hangs. my only other choich is to double tape it using the included case, or buy 1 that can fit into this (which will not reguire taping it). but is there 1 that can fit into this?

I never bother, just leave it hanging in the air :) otherwise something like www.corsair.com/uk/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cssd-brkt2/dual-ssd-mounting-bracket-aca-a-black-cssd-brkt2

Also the GPU is a part of the CPU not on the mainboard
@freename Жыл бұрын
Interesting point, and if it is on the CPU for the people asking to upgrade their graphics.. there is minimal improvement swapping to a "better" iGPU. What most people mean by upgrading the graphics is.. can I install a high end AMD or nVidia card :D
@stevenbell9589 Жыл бұрын
@@freename you can change the CPU to what ever is supported but the GPU I think will only be upgraded if intel add it to a supported cpu if you get what I'm saying

It didn't inconvenience me or damage the computer. If it is the difference between the computer being fixed or being thrown away I know which I'd go for. In 15 years I've not damaged a computer on my desk or with my tools.

It was not so much the table that I was worried about but any dust or dirt on the table. The screen is glossy and has no bezel so is incredibly easy to scratch. Using a towel reduces the chance of dirt significantly. Changing the table to something else which has been used for years still runs the risk of dirt on the table scratching the screen.
