Thanks for the video. I rescued a 95 Sportsman 400 4x4 couple months ago in great shape. Been slowly getting it back up to par. Not knowing age of belt thinking of replacing it as well. Also I my wife was a Corbett..

Sweet! If the belt looks ok and measures within spec then it should be fine.

Trying to find a video on why my wheeler creeps forward and reverse at idle. It did stick in gear but was able to hammer it to neutral but having the mentioned problem. Belt looks good primary moves in and out just not sure at this point why it’s moving at idle. This just started last ride. The stuck gear happened twice last few rides. Any help would be appreciated.

I changed my belt with the exact same one and exact same atv. Well now it rolls in gear like a auto car. You have any recommendations?

When at idle mine sounds like its rubing on the bottom of the case what can I do about it and how do u find out what year it is

It probably is. There is very little clearance inside the case. You can try shiming out the bottom. Maybe yours is warped from people putting their feet on it or age.

I just had my 2000 xplorer 250 just start slipping, aside from this belt would there be anything else I need to check?

The belt is the place where it can slip. There is no other clutch type connection in the system. Make sure the belt width is in spec. Or just replace the belt anyway, they are cheap. If it is still slipping the rear dishes can be adjusted as shown. If it still slips I have no idea.

You have the wrong size belt for your xplorer. The gates belt Is 1.200 slightly to wide and 40.22 Langth slightly to short * oem specs are 1.188 x 40.87 * which is why your primary clutch is spinning at idle it not suppose to be spinning. I bought the same belt for my xplorer and learned the hard way I was so frustrated so I thought I would give other a heads up

Ok, guess I made a mistake? I was reading the specs from the manual.
