Tips for those stuck on Great Ape Vegeta; using Solar Flare along with a few Kamehameka’s should do the trick since ki blasts in proportion to physical is just massive damage on all enemies.

If you can get into sparking mode it gets super easy. I spam punches, then when they counter, press block to vanish behind, then hit them again. It'll knock them back and stun them, and you can get in close and attack again or hit them with your ultimate

TIP TO BEAT GREAT APE VEGETA: always ascend dash high and attack his head. He can’t grab you and his blast can’t really connect due to the weird angle. It’s a little tricky but once you get it, the match becomes easier

It's easy. Just run as far away as possible , high in the air where he can't catch you. Dodge his beams left and right Then charge up to MAX KI, in sparking mode you're unblockable. When you're in sparking just rush him and melee for huge damage.

Triangle circle was always the counter stance in Tenkiechi 3 so it being perception just makes sense. Ki charge on R2 and block on R1 are just wrong. So the only reason I would use standard is for the clash that allows me to spam a button instead of spinning a stick but otherwise I think classic is the better way to go.

Friendly tip for people who are stuck on large characters: Last night, I beat the Goku story mode and got through the tournament of power. You will run into a couple large characters. The large characters struggle with distance, long range specifically. I found a couple of tips and tricks that have helped me: 1. Use perfect smash / heavy hits: When you hold down the punch button (for me, square) and your character charges up, wait for some sparks to fly off of them and then let go. Doing this right will cause your character to teleport behind the opponent and launch them away from you (really good with large characters as you will still teleport behind them) 2. Always do your best to have 3 or more ki gauges filled, and attack from a distance if possible 3. Practice perfect dodge/block: This will allow you to dodge beam attacks Using all of these will help you. For great ape Vegeta, I would use the perfect smash to launch him away from me when he got close, and then would either wait for him to fire a beam at me, use perfect dodge, and then, while he's open, fire a Kamehameha. Or simply fire Kamehameha's at him. Some things I found is that it was not worth it to charge the Kamehameha all the way unless I was certain I had enough time; giving him too much time to charge or close the gap would be annoying. Doing this, it took me two attempts to beat Great Ape Vegeta * POSSIBLE SPOILER * This method was especially useful against Anilaza in ToP saga, to the point where I beat him on my first try and didn't even realize I had a whole team as he was just getting smacked down by my Kamehameha's

I have a glitch where every other game I can’t use one of my special moves and another one where I can’t switch characters. Whenever I quit game and load back in it goes back to normal for a few matches then glitches out again

Tip for the Great ape Vegeta for anyone stuck on it, you can take advantage of his spamming of beams by charging about 4 bars, dodging as soon as he does a beam, then just using kamehameha, repeat. If you can't dodge, then just block. If he gets up close and punches, you, then use your b button to counter and get away.

in my personal opinion, it’s really better to keep a lot of these settings off and learn how to use them because once you do you’ll find that your skill goes way up when you know the exact timing and how to read attacks and how to recover

Holy moly, the Vegeta fights in both Base and Great Ape had me losing sooooo many times, to the point after dying so much I had to retry with a lower difficulty, still whooped my ass, I literally had to spam Kamehameha just to even defeat Great Ape Vegeta, even won a few beam clashes to deal maximum damage to Great Ape Vegeta, I'm gonna start the game over and actually set the controls in Standard to make the fighting easier especially with my mental disability

Took me around 6 hours to beat goku story. I played budokia tenkaichi 3 a ton and never really had any issues but with sparking I noticed I absolutely suck at close quarters combat. I did the whole tutorial but I just cant dodge those hits. Does anyone have any tips for fighting up close?

Tips for great ape. If you maintain distance he will spam his beam attack. Dodge left or right and make sure you have enough ki and use kamehameha as he will be stationary.

no you just charge to the max and in sparking mode u have unlimited combo by just spaming square or x button or whatever button u using for normal attacks and then just blast him with kamehameha before your sparking mode runs out

If youre sruck on Vegeta, maybe youre knew. Get 1 point in combo and charge your ki to max, hit square and x or x and A to get behind him and combo hwavy, rinse and repeat.

I managed to beat Great Ape Vegeta only to get stuck at Vegito and Trunks in the Goku Black storyline. Had to lower the difficulty and STILL it’s not enough. Also because they keep going for a good two minutes after their health bar gets to zero. May be a bug.

This is mostly on PC and if your GPU fan is suddenly sounding like a turbine. Go to graphical settings and turn off grass. For some reason the grass in the game is really taxing, with it on my 3070 reached the upper 85 Degrees, reaching 90 in some stages, turning grass off temps go down to the 60s no matter the stage. The game also looks just as good so its not really a loss. It also got rid of some stutters and random frame drops here and there on really big and open stages.
