For the compass vs. minimap you can actively change it while playing with L2. So just use whatever makes the most sense for what you are doing.

I honestly almost never change any settings because A) I’m lazy and B) I don’t always get from the description what it actually changes. And it also just never bothers me enough to get frustrated with it. The fact some people actually stop playing because it bothers them so much is crazy to me. Just get used to it, it’s not hard. . But I gotta admiit, I’ll change a few things up after watching this video.

I’m still not loving the tracking / movement of the camera in combat - it’s better with all your suggestions but still doesn’t feel right. After coming off lies of p, wo long, nioh 2 etc I’m a bit disappointed. It feels a bit awkward and clunky to me. :(

I was like you growing up. But as an adult I typically go to the settings right away. I think it may have stemmed from games having R1/R2 as attack buttons in some games which I don't like. I'm old school. Square and triangle have to be my attack buttons

I also find turning off motion sensor off in the actually gameplay setting the best thing I have ever done. A lot lot of times at default accidentally hitting the L3 would drift my characters away when doing things like Chocobo de Glide.

After playing GBF, I'm SO glad FF7 Rebirth included the option to change the target switching controls. The camera control being locked to target switching on RS in Granblue Fantasy is one of the most frustrating target-lock systems I've ever encountered, and it tilts me to no end.

Unicorn overlord is so hype... i played through the demo twice.. it's 5 hours BUT menu time doesn't count! So you can actually play for longer if you're into spending time preparing your units and customizing them. I'm honestly more hyped for it than rebirth... but rebirth has still been fun. There's some slog to it (the horrendous "oh you have to walk now" moments), but the battles are fun af. These tips are great man. I didn't know some of these things.

I had an issue where i would move forward but camera or character would shift left dont know if it had to do with the camera shake or terrain repositioning but when i turned off the auto camera repositioning it fixed it

I've only really noticed it in cinematic events, like when the ground is shaking or smth, and honestly it's not very strong at all. It's rather subtle as far as I've seen so far (about 5 hrs in).

Also, since the very beginning I really noticed how much my control modules were drifting. I knew they were due a new set...but Jeez! The game was almost unplayable haha. Battles were so awkward and the exploreing had the camera 360 spinning on me. Switched them on the edge and the game was what it was meant to play like. Now its almost perfect. Also the white line terrain option is great tbh🎉

I'm also bad at combat. Can rarely get a perfect block and can't block at all using sephiroth. But just keep on practicing. It would be great to see the button inputs on some vids as I've no idea how they can destroy Phoenix on full might with a single party member. I can't beat it with three of the character's lol

​@@piphead dodge a lot, focus on getting good with 3 characters. Cloud, Aerith and Tifa make a deadly trio on the demo. Practicing making use of clouds dodging and follow up attack both dodge and square hold and dodge and square bash, meanwhile micromanage tifa's ATB making sure you spend the 2 bars on unbridled strength to be running "Rise and Fall" whenever possible and practice using Aeriths new radiant ability, you can draw attention away from things with her and then hold Triangle to teleport back to the radiant ward thing. With those 3 abilities being used effectively both to sustain damage and build stagger you shouldn't have a problem with Phoenix. Remember, Phoenix isn't weak to Ice so there's no point making an elemental build. Focus on physical attacks and using all 3 players to build for synergys.

Yo bltzz! I dont know if this happened in the new remake update, but I just beat it again before playing rebirth thursday, and aeriths final line is now different. She used to say “the steel sky, i miss it” And now she says something like “the sky…i hate it”, or “this sky.. I dont like it” also now the scene runs so choppy and slow. A lot of people are wondering about it so maybe its some more content for you to discuss! Any idea why the changed that? Thanks for the vids. Cant wait to dive in.

With synergy being new, I really wish the game gave you the option to remap the button completely. I hate that it's the same as guarding because it messed up my punished mode counter strikes. I'd to be able to make synergy the R2 button since I never use it for commands. I keep accidentally using synergy abilities when I just want to guard and THEN enter punisher mode.

FYI - Changing to "Free" on Combo Targeting doesn't change anything if you LOCK ON to your target (like I expect 99% of people are probably doing).
