Thanks for this advice illustrating the importance of the present moment. As an amateur pianist I have often overplayed the same pieces instead of exploring new ones; the choice of course has always been there.

Something I have learnt in life. Don't over share and stop and think who you are talking to.
@RhianeHackerАй бұрын
Yes to a degree. I definitely think maybe best not to over share in a first instance but there can be times where you ‘over share’ to a stranger that could end up offering you some of the best advice/reassurance that will help you make a great change. But there are also people who want to know what you’re doing so they can hinder you. It’s a hard one to know sometimes who has the right intentions but it’s a risk we take to form some of the greatest connections

I like this video and agree with general message, but I do think its overly individualistic take that all you have to do is decide to change. Its your responsibility to change, but theres a lot more to it just making a one time decision. Most people can't manage it with out support from others, in fact I would say nobody can manage it alone and those who say they have are probably not acknowledging the privileges they take for granted such as family, friends, living situation etc that there are others in the same situation do not have.

Oh of course there’s more to changing than just the decision, and i’m not saying that its something you do on your own but it does require the individual to want to change. People can ask others to change but that won’t happen until the person in question makes that decision themselves. I speak on this topic after hearing from people who’ve had a really bad hand of cards but then found a way to make something for themselves. They didn’t blame everything/one else, they just found a way to make a move from what position they were in and never gave up
