the developer seemed to understand that in the first version of the game there was no reason to care for puro with how flat they were, stating that they wanted to help you but only seeming to get in the way. thus making puro a vital part of the journey whether it was to lighten the mood of a dangerous situation or actually help when needed. this makes the gamer want to save him while also making Dr. K a darker antagonist
