Jeez, that was beautiful. Took me a while to figure out that those were your feet! Their versions of this song are varied and a bit hard to wrestle down for purposes of doing a credible cover. Even if you didn’t mean it this way, your approach seemed something along the lines of “lost Dylan song from the 60s.” Whatever it is really works, including the whistling and the unplanned cat solo.
