I have a kitty also named Oscar who sounds so much like yours! He's an orange tabby, and he's very small. He looks like a typical 6 month old, but this is his permanent size. He is VERY sweet, almost agressively cuddly, and he loves to climb up on my chest and head butt my chin. He LOVES to be held! I love the blues and purples in your Oscar's portrait.

15:06 I think you did a good job on the ears. Cat ears are no different from the rest of the cat, except the forms turn more drastically in space. Remember, painting is just drawing with a brush; you still engage the form/s first as with drawing. and if you understand the hierarchy of form and imagine the tool following the form, it will show in the painting. Conversely, if you just oblige value and color optically, things start lookin' graphic and impressionistic, which is fine if that's what you want; the first impressionists _knew_ how to paint dimensionally, but _chose_ to abandon it

I did go to animation school but painting is self-taught, so for me I'd say both! But I don't necessarily like to make a distinction haha

thank you! It is limited in that I can only print/keep stock of a certain number of copies haha and likely I won't reprint it since I'm sure I will be putting out new books by then :)
