Changing Front Brake Pads, Versys 650

Join me as I change the FRONT brake pads on my trusty Kawasaki Versys 650! These pads cone in left and right variations, so make sure you have a pair before you start!!
*NB* This is a 'How did' not a 'How To'. I'm not a professional. I'm not even a semi-pro! So maybe i didn't do things the 'right' or best way. But I wanted to show that bike maintenance is possible with limited tools or ability and that it isn't as daunting as it looks. As such 'you should have....' comments will be gleefully ignored!

Andy your clips are very helpful. Saves me al lot of money and it's just fun doing this kind of minor repairs yourself... Just orderd the Hurric Rac 1 exhaust and some new brakepads. Let you know when it's al fitted in. Greetings from Holland!

Great vid, Andy. I might add that if you're unsure whether fluid has been added, keep an eye on the reservoir. And if it's a Japanese bike and it looks like the reservoir is held on with Phillips head screws, it ain't - they're JIS and there is a difference. If you use a Phillips driver, do so with care!

A funny thing that clip is there, my local shop bothers with a pin with a loop - another great tip is that those clips are the same ones we use to hold a body onto a radio controlled car, i've got loads of them and all sort of colors though you're not gonna see them so often :D.

Hi Andy. Thanks a lot for this garage series, it helped a ton! My rear brake is stuck after winter. It turned out that ABS pomp is broken and now I only have front brakes. Did you have any issues with this ABS piece of s... technology? BTW your touring bits are also awsome!
