Inverting the filter assembly on the bracket also allows one to get enough leverage to undo the filter without a vice

I always prime the filter by having the outlet tube out. When it squirts, i put it back. No air, no stall, just drive off and out you go

This. Leave the outlet tube out. Prime the fuel from the tank through the fuel filter. Then attach the outlet tube after priming. No air will enter the system.

Interesting, second person i've seen do it like this. I never even take the fuel lines off, and primer assembly stays in the car when i change filter which seems a lot quicker, easier and less prone to contamination. Is there is reason why you take the whole assembly off and over to the bench like that?

How often should you change the diesel filter. I own a 2022 Land cruiser prado 150 2.8 1GD-FTV... and to be honest it has 38,000kms... and it has the original fuel filter that came with the car since i bought it new in june 2022... Recently I noticed it and asked for it to be changed... what i discovered is that its not part of the service they do here in Panama... LITERALLY WE HAVE TO BRING THE CAR TO SERVICE FOR AN OIL CHANGE EVERY 3 MONTH OR 5000KMS ... BUT NOO DIESEL FILTER CHANGEE....

Great video as usual Anthony. Was trying to change the fuel filters on my 150 1kd today and was battling trying to do it on the car. Seeing you take the whole assembly off the car and use a vice makes sense.
