Thanks for the Vid, your truck looks Killa! I just bought a Colorado 7. Caryard said they serviced it but saw Fuel Filters weren't touched (due in schedule). I was worried about oil filter change but you made it look easy. Yes a hoist is essential to find anything wrong. Keep up the great work 👍.

Hey man, thanks for the video. It was good for checking whether there are any little tricks to servicing a Colorado. Want to avoid FUBAR. Learnt a bit about premature babies too (!?) - yikes. If you have the time or inclination to do a video on 'Lubricate sliding sleeve' (a requirement at 90,000km, but apparently no-one does it) then that would be good. Cheers.

Hey how’s it going I have a question 2018 model I accidentally broke the top of the little yellow drain plug next to the fuel filters and now I can’t drain the water fuel separator what do you recommend ?
@RCSMediaDivision
@RCSMediaDivision 7 ай бұрын
Hey Mate, That is going to make things a bit tricker, is there anyway to get some grips onto it to undo? you will need to replace it. but i guess worst case you could replace the whole filter housing from a wreckers. to get it out if you cant get anything on it you could try drill it and tap it out like you would a bolt.
@laurentturnier1895
@laurentturnier1895 7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the fast reply, no it’s broken of pretty short so I can’t grip it at all but what I’m wondering is how important is it to the car because when I change my fuel filters all the water comes out and the yellow plastic drain plug screws in the same compartment as the filters so my question is do I really need to unplug the yellow drain plug if I regularly change fuel filters because I just taught the yellow plug was to take water out without having to take out the filters ? What’s your opinion ?

Iv actually since sold this car. had it for several years and loved it. but it did have its issues. the torque converter issue can be fixed cheap and easily if caught early. look up instant shudder fix can be found on ebay, that fixed mine up. but iv heard some people end up having to get rebuild. headunit they think might have been programming issue if not screen issue. but i never got around to fixing that as it would not do it for months at a time.

@@RCSMediaDivision oh ok, are the tires you got on there now 285s? I want to put a 3 inch lift in mine with 285 16 muddies, I know I’d have to do upper control arms but Did you have to do other mods to have the 3 inch lift not ruin cvs or damage anything els? Or would you think It’d be better doing a 2 inch suspension lift and 1 or 2 inch body lift so I don’t have to modify to much..? Sorry for all the questions lol Looks like you are in the know how that’s why I ask
@RCSMediaDivision

@@JSC-c i think off top of my head they are that size, not near it at the moment. but roughly a 32/33. yes done upper control arms and diff drop to reset axle angle. iv done 2" suspension and 1" body. i had 4 inch suspension and 2" body beforehand but i wasnt happy with how it handled. but you definately need to do control arms and diff drop otherwise you will chew through axles.

@@RCSMediaDivision mate I’ve just done a fully adjustable dobinsons lift set at 3 inch in the front with diff drop and upper control arms.. did you have any dramas getting the camber in the front of yours so there not sitting top in? My back tyres are sticking out the guard about 20mm but the front are sitting inside the guard like 15mm and These useless tyre shops in Adelaide can’t get the camber straight up and down “cause the 2016+ caloffroad upper control arms aren’t adjustable” that’s the excuse I’m getting as to why they can’t get them correct anyway 🙄 I see you did yours a long time ago but any input on how yours went would be much appreciated
@RCSMediaDivision
@RCSMediaDivision 10 ай бұрын
@@JSC-c The caloffroad arms we had were for sure adjustable. but this was a 2017. are you sure you have the right arms? should have a big locking nut on the top. we adjusted it straight then tac welded it in place so it wouldnt move. Without having an adjustable arm you have really no way of fixing that camber. i remember how bad it was too. not ideal.
