Theres spray you can get to dissolve glue. I spray it on, leave for 10 mins then it rubs off easy, no scratches.

Would deffo recommend using tar remover and also heating up the double sided tape to get a better adhesion.

I would not be using a metal pry bar to scrape off my adhesive…. Goo gone sounds like a GREAT alternative. I’m planning on switching out my badges soon.

Lol..I wouldn't use pry bar either. Try badges from modifix.co.uk they premium and they stick larger sizes for A6 upward..

3:24 this is how you make scratches, you have to heat it with feuhn and remove it with sticker remover ... and the masking with tape you should have done right before you removed the old one ...

We tried three types of sticker remover on new project car De-Badging all round it did not let go a bit..

Yeah i tried goo gone and didnt work lol got a fed up and just the new emblem on top

Goo gone takes the adhesive right off without messing up the paint

you can never know exactly where the old logo was ... I would first apply the tape and then remove everything, seems logical right?

If you look closely in the video you can see that there was still a slight ring outline so I guess it depends on how well you clean it

Plastic parts get old and cracked. I just bought a fog light insert online and swap on this afternoon. @@jasonchen7492 oh man salt must be such a headache to keep cleaning off, how do you prevent rust and body damage? I operate on Ebay so I mainly buy used parts from there. This badge is aftermarket I believe so its sourced from eBay as well usually amazon would have such accessories as well.
