Just what I needed to no about the back clips or grooves on the back of the filter box thanks because I believe I did mines wrong so I’m going back under the hood to readjust 💪🏾💪🏾

The trouble I had is that in the back is like a hinge. It’s very hard to push back hard enough to get the back out of the hinge. I found you take off the throttle body hose to. That allows you to remove the cover easy and then replace it. You then have to squeeze the hoses back on the filter.

As an old and now retired Toyota mechanic, I am very disappointed with Toyota engineers. Normally such a simple job is made too hard. Maybe, so we have to take the car to the dealer for air filter replacement.
