10mm was correct, but a USA 3/8" also works.

@mcy2phil 11 күн бұрын
You're right. 3/8" is equal to .375" and 7/16" is equal to .4375". 10mm is equal to .393701" The problem with the 3/8' depends on the tolerance of the wrench. Some manufactures such as Snap On have very tight tolerances. A Snap On wrench may not work on a 10mm.

My philosophy is the more things I can do to save money is that I can save that money or spend it on something else. I still mow my own lawn and wash my own car. I see people paying to have their lawns mowed and it cost $30 for each cut. I just bought a new lawn mower for $250. So after 9 times of using it, I will get the benefit of keeping more money for my family. Some people call that being cheap. :)

_So tell me how do you like the Ford Escape? Does it drive nice? Comfortable smooth ride? Quiet on the highway? I've owned several Ford's and it's like they were manufactured by different companies. The F150 is a great truck all around and the Mustang convertible is a fun car, but their economy cars are horrible or they used to be. I'm talking about the older Escort and Focus models. The Crown Victoria was a real bargain. It's a shame they discontinued it. By the way what is wah dah? I've never heard of it. Must be a New York thing._ 😉

I bought it new. Pretty much all I do is basic maintenance on it. The only thing that went on it was the Accessory Belt Idler Assembly which I replaced myself. That was a real pain because of the position and while I was at it I changed the serpentine belt and water pump belt. I also changed the master brake because I didn't like the feel of the brakes. I think I really got my money's worth out of it. I have 166,000 miles on it. I bought this one with the 3.0 liter V6 engine because the 4 cylinder would be under powered. The problem today is that they are using smaller engines and turbo charging them which means the engine is working harder which shortens the life. My wife wants me to get the F150. If I was to get it I would go with the V8. Crown Vic's were good cars but for the size they should have had a larger engine. There are hardly any fleet vehicles made anymore. They just stopped manufacturing the Ford Taurus. I have a 2018 with the 3.5 liter V6. Ford sends me offers every month. Wah dah is water.

@@mcy2phil Well that's impressive. Your the ultimate "do it yourself" guy. That's certainly something to be proud of and I hope your son takes a few pointers from his old man. Yes, I hear ya about the newer engine designs. We have become obsessed with getting the most mileage per gallon to save a buck and yet people are trading cars in at the highest rate in twenty years. They would have saved more money by keeping that old clunker running. Don't even get me started on electric cars and people who say it's unethical not to buy one. I used to follow trends, but lately I've realized most of the sheeple are being misled. Anyway, that's a story for another day. 😄 The F150 is a great choice. You'll have to tell your wife when the Escape reaches 200,000 miles that you'll consider it. 😋 I used to own a F150 King Ranch which I quite liked. I bought it used and drove it till the maintenance issues started piling up. We don't all have the mechanical know how. It was a nice truck and I miss it. I drive a Chevy Silverado now and regret not getting the premium package. I miss the sunroof, leather and heated seats. Anyway, I don't want to bore you. BTW, I know what wah dah is. I'm just busting your balls pal. Have a nice weekend or what's left of it.

@@themogul5846 I feel the same way about electric cars. Way too much money plus they are getting rid of the tax credit which means they cost way too much. I like the King Ranch but if I get the F150 I want the bench seat and not bucket seats. For me I want to get the Lariat model. Part of the problem you have living in the Northeast is salt on the roadways. I've seen frames totally rotted through with rust because of the road salt. When I go under my Ford Escape there is no rust on the frame and it's 12 years old.

@@mcy2phil I know right those yuppies can keep their electric cars. I'm also not supporting Chinese made cars here in America. I think they already manufacture too much of our crap as it is and most Americans are asleep to what's really going on in the world. The Lariat model is also very well equipped. Ford does a really good job with their pick up trucks. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their models. If anything they over engineer them. 😉 Oh my don't get me started on Northeastern roads. If you thought they were bad before now half these plow drivers are young kids who don't have a clue and text their "girlfriends" while their supposed to be watching the road. This past winter a town plow took down my mailbox along with a couple of my neighbors. The roads are terrible, potholes take forever to get fixed and yes salt destroys our vehicles. Needless to say I won't be missing it when I'm long gone. One of these days I'll be out west living the dream just like you. Ha! 😂

@@themogul5846 I don't know how you put up with that weather where you live. You must love the four seasons. :) At least that is what people say that are stuck in places with cold temperatures. I always tell people down here that I have never been in pain from the heat but I have been in pain from the cold.
