While it is really great they have developed a better fuel pump, the pump is not the real problem. Bosch does not engineer junk. The real problem is the fuel. For those that are interested. The diesel fuel (ULSD) mandated by USEPA in 2007 is the problem. They still to this day, have not figured out the causal mechanism for poor diesel fuel lubricity. USEPA, CARB SAE and even the ASTM do not know the definition of diesel fuel lubricity beyond just the words. The ASTM HFRR lubricity test is complete fraud and is bogus. USEPA did not even know what function Sulphur did in the diesel fuel other than Sulphur emissions. It would be really nice if the so-called experts we pay for and depend on actually knew what they were talking about.
