Changing the Guard at Windsor Castle - Saturday the 25th of February 2023

I very nearly did not publish this item. Normally I would bin something of this low quality.
There were, intermittently, rather strong gusts of wind. Nothing to be done about it. You will never hear the worst of it.
On Castle Hill, one chap held his camera up so high that, even at 7ft 3 tall, it required a... correction. And more video cropping activity.
And the bells of 'St John the Baptist' Church were ringing, intermittently, since at least 10:35 when I turned up at the Guildhall. They were still ringing when I left Windsor at 11:50. The bells also forced a rather long first segment crop. I left a little of bit it on there, just to show what I sometimes do that nobody ever gets to see or hear. And just for the memory of it.
The first time in almost 7 years that I had experienced that Church bell ringing event as the Guards were on parade outside. Very odd.

I don’t know how, but I’ve only just found your video Pete; but as usual it was professionally done and I really enjoyed it! Being the Welsh guards I thought they might have played the Welsh Nation Anthem as they went into baracks, but no such luck 🙏

@@charlottecunningham2141 You really enjoyed that bell tower sound? Well lucky you. I have a 'lot' more. I will redo the video with the start commencing at the top of Sheet Street. You are going to love it! You could not hear the Welsh Guards Corps of Drums over the sound of the bells. You might even think that the Army drummers, magical as they may be, were themselves making that sound, It was weird ! Obviously I will not be doing that. I do not want the entire world thinking that the Corps of Drums were being trained at Hogwarts ! Take it easy.
