I don't call myself an author because I don’t believe in labels.
I believe that story is art - that it's sacred, and that it is and has always been a force that changes and shapes our world. That's why I write, and that's why I create videos (even co-produced an environmental film). I consider the world my home, and enjoy submerging in unique cultures nearly as much as I love submerging in the ocean and riding the waves. Then revise again, really polish that thing. I've been on a roll so far. For me creatitvy was about self-expression. In life everyone must realize there is a time to hold something close and there will be a time when you have to let it go. The past can't be altered & that pain shouldn't sit on your shoulders. Time is precious so why waste it on thinking about wasted time. The only moment that really, ever mattered was now. Future plans change along with people. Mask cracked the pain we can no longer mask. Death brings new life. So it's important to understand what may have severed you in the past may no longer serve you in the future. May peace be with you... Because sometimes that time is needed to mend a broken you into a better you. I will be leaving my blueprint behind for that purpose. Namaste.

2 years ago I had an idea to build a fantasy world. I hardly ever worked on it. I tried to work on it again in November but fell back into old habits. 2 weeks ago I had an idea for a story, it started off with a basic premise, I created characters, now I'm ready to build and tell a story with them. I bounce back and forth between working on my fantasy world and soft fantasy story. I've had a steady flow of writing the last 2 weeks but the last 2 days I've been struggling. Struggling creatively and with self doubt. I found your channel at the right time and your messages have brought me back to life in a way. I've also have been spiritually growing and your messages align with what I've recently been learning, meditation, breath work and mindfulness. I'm grateful for finding your channel. I had a great day of discovery, including Abbie's channel. I still can't believe the timing of finding your channel , thanks again 🙏

I love your video, and your voice is so relaxing ! What you say is true, but hard to apply. I feel overwhelm by my negative thoughts these last months, mainly because of school, and it's hard to let them go because school is something where I can't escape for the moment. I feel sad and powerless, and I just don't tolerate this anymore. This is'nt the fact to learn things we have to learn in school, but the environment, the people there, the teachers, and the overload of work we have to do after an entire day of school and during holidays. All of this is energy consuming, and impact my creativity, because I think to these things even when I'm not in school. I don't feel so happy to write than before, and I don't see another solution than wait, but I don't want to wait to create. I hope this message isn't too a drag, and that it's understandable because english isn't my mother tongue. I wish you all the positivity !

So similar is my situation in that... I have created this unwelcomed aspect of a particular web of so called helplessness ...yet I too know the power of choosing again . Getting clear on my desired outcome and longing to express myself as co- creator ... That what outcomes I thought were impossible become more than a longing far off ... but a reality now. Here and now . Being the predominant creative force of my own life .💗.. you have what it takes to find this path as it unfolds before you... Almost miraculously 🌄

Your videos inspire me as a creative writer but also a multi-creative artist since I'm also a composer/musician, illustrator, and coder. Right now I'm working on my first longer fictional book project in English (I've previously published two shorter nonfiction ebooks) and English is my second language, so naturally it's a challenge with that fact alone. But even if I were a native English speaker I would ask myself if I'm good enough... Just as I do in my native language. What I mean to say is that you inspire me to keep going. Thank you!

The story is about a guy named Riley, He and his friends are Paranormal researchers, (Keep in mind, They're all Teenagers.) And They got a strange call from Riley's friend. Asking him and the group to help with the Paranormal activity going on in the town. There are 6 people in this group, Riley, Elliot, Anne, Charlie, and Monroe. The group is called 'The Pines files.' Though I am thinking about changing it. Sorry that this is long, I didn't intend for it to be. :/

Thank you Kate. Thank you for this reminder. I have been struggling to stay focused. I get the what ifs, the self doubts. That what I want in my life in writing won't ever happen. Especially, at my age at 49 and will be 50 this year. I constantly wonder. Am I to late? Will I ever be a published writer? I have a yearly planner that I got and writers board for ideas and more to keep on the board. I admit my biggest fear is the cost of it all to be published. I am limited on income. Am I doing this all for nothing? I have been writing since my early 20's, my stories are in binders on shelves. Being held because of fear and the what if's. More so as I mentioned the costs of getting published. Thank you Kate for this video. Happy New Year to you.
