I have never seen anyone cut the belt like that..I cant express how awesome this idea is...amazing..that way you can never lose the timing position..I keep saying how, that if that timing cover was split at the crank, where you can remove the top half, and bottom half, you would never have to remove the crank bolt and pulley..

I gotta say it again..I am amazed by him cutting the belt...I wonder if this will work on other cars..This way the timing will, and cannot move, or slip out of position...great job.

Wow, you took the 17mm center bolt off of the crank pulley - NO NO NO. It is not necessary and is one of the main reasons why the crank keyway shears in these vehicles. You do NOT have to touch that 17mm bolt (and if you do, torque it to 94 ft/lbs when you’re replacing it).

I prefer to do it properly and tension the new belt correctly , turning engine over by cam sprocket bolt not good idea even with plugs out , I will stick to the correct procedure.
