Note to add, just because your belt is bad or worn out doesnt mean you should toss it in the trash as it could come in handy should the new belt have catastrophic failure. A bad belt is better than no belt at all. Just my $0.02 :)

Belts are cheap. If your belt is bad buy a new one and wait a day for it to get delivered.

Never spray your belt with any lubricant, that is a really easy way for it to slip.

Mine makes a noise when cold and not when warm. It's really annoying. I replaced it 2 years ago. The noise stopped for a few months and came back.

May be the belt tensioner. See if you can see the tensioner arm moving or sloppy movement while you watch it. Google the belt tensioner location for your car. Generally easy to replace

I got the same problem. I replaced it but the noise still persists. Only for about 45 seconds when the engine is cold then it disappears. Its okay after that.

Normally, when it only squeaks on start-up, it just needs tension adjustment, especially if it's a new belt or it was removed and reinstalled.

New belts will stretch a bit in the first week or so after install, so it's wise to check the tension at that time and adjust it if there's too much slack.

4:38 Make belt more pliable . Some people soak their belt overnight in 303 Protectant . Wipe off belt and install and I perioddically spray the belts with this , even when engine is running .

My one i just changed all pullyes brand new and belt also...and next day.. as the weather is cold was squiking as i never had the problem with the old pulyes and belt..but i am thinking because is cold it is doing only between 2 to 3 minutes on the start car ealry morning..and it stop before i go..because i 1st warm up the engine..about 2-3min..but also while the squik is when i accelerate..the squik going away..so the cold weather is the problem.

Thank you but I changed the belt and tensioner twice and it still squeeks. I changed all the pulleys, and even tried a new alternator but the problem is still there. I will change them now for the third time and I will try different company for parts -.- ..... It's very annoying.

Sounds like it could be an alignment issue, all pulley's must be aligned with each other. Watch the belt on the pulley's, it should not be moving around.
