Part of the problem is that the game really just devolve into head hunting with boxing at the higher levels. Leg kicks arent worth a thing, body shots are too risky because one uppercut will instant rock (I challenge everyone to find me a single UFC fight where a body shot was countered by an uppercut and did good damage, I'm yet to find it). Elbows needed a power nerf but now you cant even land them if you're at the invisible wall. And almost all grappling that I've experienced requires a cheesy entry. Oh and when you defend a takedown, there's not actually a way to punish it, and it barely affects stamina. Even just something simple, like health status debuffs like the cuts, to body damage or legs? That would make a big difference. Head health damage is the most direct way to win, and so anyone trying to be competitive just goes with that. Rant over, but just my observations on what kills unique gameplay.

Definitely need more impact on more attributes from damage, especially when it comes to footwork from stam damage & leg damage. Built up leg damage does result in getting a GA advantage on the feet which is great, I'd like to see it also affect GA on the ground as well in some positions I have in mind. They did nerf the damage done to people going to the body thankfully after 3 & 4, since people could basically insta die via the upper at near full head health at times. Now body damage affects the LT bar much more, especially with the higher move levels. The single under entry is by far one of the craziest punishes to get against takedowns, regardless of TDD vs TDO & GA at times. Makes it nigh impossible to chain turns with supposedly high level grapplers. The lack of fleshing out of the clinch hurts both grapplers and anti-grapplers because of the lack of options, which is something they need to expand upon for future titles.

You aren't wrong statistically the rear uppercut is the least landed punch in boxing and mma. It annoys me when I throw one body shot just to get rocked by a rear uppercut
@FaithRoxАй бұрын
@@RomeroXVIII do think Martial's proposed change to how knockdowns work will very highly benefit leg kicks. Escalating leg kick knockdown into finishes quickly opens a whole world of striking there. Entirely agreed with the GA affects resulting from them, and that it should affect ground too. Maybe even transitions that use leg presses being slower too. The body damage did need a nerf, but I think it should have came with a range extension for body jabs and straights. A straight to the head versus body is not that different when it comes to range IRL, but putting models in uppercut range doesnt seem correct to me. Again, never seen an uppercut work on someone UFC level throwing body shots IRL. Knees however? Knee counters should be examined including on takedowns imo. But yeah, the lack of depth in engaging grappling is what kills things badly. Punishment against stifled grappling, even something simple like being able to actively dictate where the fight goes depending on fighters grappling skills on a defended shot (sprawl, snapdown, clinch etc) rather than it being circumstancial. An ability to fight against the stifle and move to a next position or switch a single into a double or vice versa, all things you're saying too. And yeah, clinch needs alot more depth. Just all thoughts running off the top of my head. How much can be implemented into a game I dont know, but I'm sure I havent come up with anything knew.

Fighting Aljimains that can actually box are a bit scary. You know the second you commit too much or start winning they’ll tickle your pickle the rest of the fight

Maybe a video on each move you make, how you denied a transition…for example R2 and up…etc…how to counter punches…inside the martial mind series.

I noticed during the Ortega fight the fighter you put in the bottom right corner was your opponent (Lopez) instead of yourself (Ortega) in the fighter picture like the Jones and Sterling fight

One thing I noticed about guys like Goat or Ed Parker, they don't really hold the high block. Only when the strike is about to land, then they block. This makes their movement and footwork look different when they're not holding block.. Which isn't easy to do.

You do move faster when not blocking it notice that as well

Maaaan completely agree. this game has gotten so dry at this point I really think if content creators stopped worrying about W’s and Ls and just started to try to get flashy and flow. F the Meta. F trying to win every fight. Just be free. Pick the fighters with flashy strikes. Mess around and find unique fight styles. Feint .. throw weird combos.. take risks with the head movement and movement in general. Jsut try to bring uniqueness back to this game. It’s sooo dry right now!!

You dont get clean shadows becuase theres multiple bright lights from all angles. They all illuminate the shadows from the other ones.. For example stand underneath a ceiling light, then cast a flashlight on the shadow created by the ceiling light. Do you still see the shadow?

If they would implement a bit of fight nught champions play style into this game and give us an updated ufc 3 clinch and grapple system for ufc 5 I think it would be perfect like I like on fight night champion how u feel like your actually moving around the ring and pulling or pushing your opponent someone where in the ring is one of the best parts of that game in this game it’s like there’s no risk of just walking into someone and throwing on fight night champion u would make a game plan as your playing it was probs the best fighting game ever made just how u can see where u have to take the fight to win and it’s fun to come up short trying
