I always liked blending the changing of types and brands slowly. Sometimes a little scrambled egg too and rice with lamp. Adult older dogs have less proteins and more supplemental with vitamins or separate supplements, even. Raw Carrots, too Yum 😋

I was feeding my pug grain-free dog food until a report came out that said veterinarians were seeing a rise in heart disease in dogs who were on a grain-free diet. The problem is that the grain-free dog foods mostly contain lentils, legumes, peas and potatoes. I tried to find a grain-free brand that didn't have one of the foods I listed, but couldn't find one. Organ meats are good for dogs, so now I feed her hormone/antibiotic free chicken livers, gizzards and hearts and supplement it with a brand of dog food that contains a small amount of brown rice (which is easier for dogs to digest than other grains) but doesn't contain any of the bad ingredients listed above. There are some healthy freeze dried dog foods out there, but my pug doesn't like them. She loves organic baby carrots and apples. I also give her a little big of plain yogurt and all natural peanut butter, but not every day. She has her first appointment with a holistic veterinarian this Saturday. If I find any new useful information, I will share it with everyone.

Looking forward to the video I normally make my own dog food so I no what's in it apparently you should look at the ingredients on the packet or tin if your buying off the shelf the meat /poultry should be the highest ingredient .

My daughter has a cat and it kept getting ear infections...many times to the vet. On her own she switched to grain free and it never had another ear infection. That has been 5 years now. Dogs eat grain free and very healthy dogfood too.

Our Labrador is allergic to wheat and we noticed the food he was on expanded a lot when it was submerged in water we changed immediately when we found out it was a bad food for our dog. He is now fed on burns dog food and so is our beagle even though he isn't allergic to anything lol. It's good for them so far, they have lily's kitchen treats when we can afford it but burns is slightly cheaper than lily's kitchen food.we used to feed our Japanese Spitz Lacey on bakers until we got our Labrador and found out it was really bad for her it is full of sugar and wheat and other cheap fillers. She gained a lot of weight and it took us a year to get her back to a good Weight. Pedigree is also a bad brand of food that is full of sugar and wheat. Don't want to start anything negative but that's my experience anyways

Great vid. My 4 month old is on lily's kitchen I researched it before I got her. She was on a supermarket brand when I got her and she had more tummy problems since she's been on lily's she's much better. Some foods are like the equivalent of us eating junk food every day.

Yeah you have to be careful with Pugs they have so many skin allergies and stomach issues with foods being allergic to different grains and meats my Melyssa she was on Salmon and Sweet Potato

Also share with people about sweeteners in food how dangerous they are to dogs and also sugar free gum,cakes biscuits and even normal toothpaste.. if your dog eats any of this rubbish it's a emergency. My friend lost her two pugs three days ago she left her handbag on the hallway table not thinking about the triple packet of sugar free gum. Sadly both pugs pulled the bag on the floor and then eat the gum and half packet of crisps and chocolate bar plus lipstick.. She discovered this the next morning .she came downstairs and both dogs were laid down covered in vomit. Three days later sadly they lost their fight. So please be careful with these products they are killers to dogs. Watch your handbags ladies they can be dangerous to our furry little friends.' 🐕💕✌

Congrats for the videos. We have a pug (female), 1 year old. Because in Rio de Janeiro where we live it is too hot, we need to "shear" our pug at least every 6 weeks. Do you think this can be a problem? She accepts well. Regarding food, she ate only "dog food" for the first 8 months then she stopped to eat. The workaround was to add some chicken/salmon "fresh" dog food sachet. Nowadays she likes dog food only with the sachets or with apple or banana. Your dogs eat only "dog food"? If we put only dog food. She does not eat. The dog food is Premier(lamb/turkey) with no transgenic.

I have one question. I got a new pug (8month rescue) who is very playful! So playful that he annoys his 2 sisters (2 and 5) to the point that they nip at him. I had to leave him at my mothers house because he is just too much energy for them. How did you do it with Winston and Pablo? Any recommendations 🥺😭

We let them let play and when Pablo gets fed up and reacts back at Winston we put him in 'time out' so he knows that if Pablo tells him off we'll step in and remove him, he soon learned his limits with Pablo, it does take quite a bit of time though, over time it will get better when the energy levels start to balance out 😊

Hi. I was feeding my puppy acana grain free food but he didn't like it and he seemed hungry all the time. then he started to try to eat other dogs' poop. I had to change his food to Royal Canin and he became better right away. I would prefer him to eat grain free but I don't know if I'll try again. Does anyone know of a dog food that is more natural but still has grains? Thank you :)

How quickly can you change a puppys food? I don't like what my puppy is currently fed on and want to change it as quick as i can but i know puppys are sensitive but the current food isn't great. I pick him next week.

You can change it whenever you want to, just gradually introduce the new food and reduce the old food over a week or 2 👍🏻

In Brazil the foods, in general, human & dog food, if they have anything in their composition that could cause cancer in the long run, the package has a yellow and black "T" on the bottom. Big brands like Royal Canin, Purina, Hills and plenty others do have that "T". It has become easier and easier to keep a healthier life style with that. If you google "(brand you want to know) transgenico" on google and the package has the T, is because isn't safe. Hope I helped.

Maybe you know this, there was a study connected between Taurine, dog food and heart disease. Just do research and you'll find information on it. I just took my pug to the vet last year to get a taurine blood test.

A raw diet is the BEST option for dogs. You should check out the documentary 'PET FOOLED' on Netflix - it is shocking what companies put in pet food. It is our responsibility as owners to ensure that our pets are healthy and happy.

I would agree! There is a lot of issues and problems people have with raw food diets, (not actually the food itself) I know we looked into it but we would of had to have food delivered everyday (as we don't have the freezer space to store a couple of days worth) .. but we also both work so may not be in to collect the delivery. This is at a very high cost getting daily delivery and our closest location to pick it up from a store is a 40 minute drive, we don't have the time and would also cost a lot in fuel. The benefits can be great, but it's just not viable for some people :) Thats why you should always read the label and what they actually put into dry food

Lily's Kitchen is a UK product...not USA. I use to pay for an expensive Pug food here..Blue Buffalo dog food. I switched to I AM ..he hates it. He spits it out. He rather go to the trash to find something. I always say Pug should be called Pig..switch out the U and I but this food is the only thing he doesn't like unless I put Peanut butter or egg in it.

Ah yes, the classic teething phase. So how to deal with this is quite simple but you need to be consistent as that’s key to dog training. You can redirect your pup’s biting to a toy, so have lots of toys and keep them interesting. You should also teach your pup the “leave it” command, it’ll help in all situations! There are videos by Zak George here on KZbin about all things puppy and dog training! Good luck 😉

Get some natural chews such as an antler, dehydrated rabbit ears, hooves etc... It will help your little pup with teething pain & help with that urge to chew and bite :)

I have had my beautiful Pug for 10 months I also began to feed my pup 3 meals per day and I always read the ingredients he is now eating Butternut Box he eats half in the morning and half at 5pm I agree their are to many dog food companies that are only in it for the money and not for the welfare of man’s best friend I get cheap food Is their for a reason why compromise on the welfare of pets
