And here’s the plot twist of the game! NOBODY WAS PURELY A GOOD GUY! EVERYONE WAS AT FAULT! Tatiana had her past influence her judgement on Bunk Bed Junction at the start, and Bunk Bed Junction didn’t help in the long run either. Every boss is an allegory for the darker side of each of their music genre’s, and Bunk Bed Junction and Kliff also have their allegories.

We put so much emphasis on following a celebrity who does what they do "Because they love doing it". But in the process, we believe that they should be doing it in the way we think they should. Once upon a time, Tatiana probably loved rock, the fire we see is her fiery passion for it. But after things fell apart the way they did, can we blame her for it being a sore spot? Yes, she shouldn't have supressed it. But even if she still held some hidden passion for it, she doesn't owe anyone to continue being involved in it. Artists should do what they do cause it drives them. But passions can change, we grow out of certain things. Kliff and May were so focused on their image of Kul Fyra, they didn't care about the person she was. May can rebuild the pedestal based on who she now knows Tatiana to be now; a firm and commanding woman who, just like her, is a bit stubborn but is still to be who she needs to be instead of who she'd like to be. Kilff on the other hand, only cares about the image she portrays. He doesn't care that the group's disbandment hurt her, he doesn't care that she's changed, he doesn't care that what she wants is different from what he wants. He wants her to be his idol and if she won't be, he will destroy who she has become; even if it dooms the city.

A fallen idol props herself above all others and dictates the world left behind in denial. Her bias was starving the city's power needs, limiting genre in the "music capital of the world". Still, its amazing she nailed leadership like this. Almost makes her a more diabolical version of Sofia Lamb from Bioshock 2. She brought all that satire on herself.

Fun thing I just realized. Mayday was originally using her own Guitar and didnt want to use stuff from NSR while Zuke was using NSR drumsticks since, like it or not, they're the best on the market. Mayday is the most against NSR while Zuke is more willing to try to defend them and play devil's advocate for them. With the ending, both of them are technically using NSR equipment (due to Mayday using Tatiana's old guitar). She's gotten over her own hangups and is able to accept them, even if she doesn't generally like EDM.
@Gamrison4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I really like that ending idea too
@RavensRift4 жыл бұрын
I mean, maybe all the other artists just didn't like the performance. So they voted against them. Tatiana was the last to vote and was more open to the idea, but voted against them after Mayday insulted everyone. Tatiana is the only real one with a bias against rock, no one else. Thinking back on their actions, they lashed out without understanding the full scope. Mayday had shown on numerous occasions she acts without thinking at all and is prone to breaking things, she isnt ready to be a role model. Tatiana was wrong to ban rock, but she probably did so because she just associated it with chaos, due to Mayday's behavior and the fallout of her band.

She at least seemed genuinely impressed with how Mayday came up with her band name. And up until May started lashing out at the votes, she was calm and polite. Some part of her was still willing to give the two a chance up until May proved herself to just be a little brat.
@michaelcheng99873 жыл бұрын
There seemed to be this idea of chaos and order surrounding one's music. And it's really painful(well more uncomfortable, but still) to hear, because it goes against what I think is at the core of music: harmony. It's not just all of one or the other, but each having strengths and shortcomings; it's much more about how the "chaos and order" will play off, and combine or support each other that can create really amazing music. It's kinda like a yin-yang situation; completely opposite forces, but inseparable and necessary for each other's survival. The true strength comes when two can work together, and it's evident from the OST alone that rock and edm can create incredible and unique music when the genres combine.
@tylerflory93733 жыл бұрын
Don't forget Yinu, actually. If you think about it, her whole shtick was that she was classical music. It only became more and more edm like since you started out fighting her in the begining, but wound up fighting her mom instead. Then it became the matter of edm vs rock in game mechanics. Spoilers for those who haven't played the game: i feel like the genre of music heavily implies a certain kind of feeling one can experience. For example, rock favors the more brass, passionate feelings with antagonistic views. EDM and any other form of said music(dubstep, techno, etc;) perpetuated the more calculated, logical feelings, bringing up tatiana's gola of ORDER. But classical music, as demonstrated by Yinu in the last part of her battle, shows that something as timeless as classical trumps both genres. Because of this, the EDM/Rock scale couldn't determine what to categorize the music, causing it to go haywire and flip between edm and rock like crazy. I believe in this world, music has properties that proves not only is it complimentary of each othet, but they also thrive by itself, depending on the situation. Jazz, techno, rock, metal, classical, rap--they all have a rhyme and reason for existing. Then again, that's just me.

It's really rad Tatiana was a former rock star turn bad. Even she gained a position in NSR, it is awesome her powers references controlling time (time management) and pyromancy (inner rock star attitude). Her boss battle kinda gave away her past career. 57:10 Yes, it was a petty fan gone mad. But, that was so cruel towards a fan who genuinely cares about you. Tatiana should've know to never insult a fan to a point and 57:21 would eventually seek revenge on you. 1:11:16 I smiled at this part.

@@justinsarcedo9355 Fans choose who they want to support and as Tatiana said, she doesn't owe him anything. She's bitter, not spiteful.. Remember the audition? Tatiana was relatively enthusastic to see Bunk Bed Junction perform, but become subtly aggresive when she saw they were performing Rock and even during the judging, she didn't reject them until May insulted everyone. Kliff oozes entitlement and Tatiana can see it. It wouldn't surprise me if she had seen dozens of fans like him. May is her fan too and even if she's too young to remember, she was still devoted to Kul Fyra. Tatiana treats May with respect when she calms down. Tatiana doesn't care about admiration nor does she want or expect it. Tatiana reacts in anger at the chaos that ruined her passion and at the person who feels they are owed her life. She can look past the chaos after remembering the joy and exhilaration that it gave her. But she probably can't forgive someone who thinks she is nothing but what they say she is.
