For those of you that need the information if you have a Dana 70 powerlok/Chrysler 9.25 you use 75w140 gear oil and 4 ounces of friction modifier, then you do 8-10 figure 8’s if your rear end shudders/ squeals add one additional ounce of friction modifier to the 4 you have placed in. For the job you will need 6 quarts of gear oil and 2 four ounce bottles of friction modifier
@jberrocalucf5 ай бұрын
Isn’t that only for lsds
@jaysonb15885 ай бұрын
@@jberrocalucf the gear oil additive is needed if you have limited slip. If not then 75w140 for towing and 80w90 for mostly daily driving

I would do a video about adjusting the tps sensor for guys that have problems with shifting into overdrive, I have a 1993 w-250 and I adjusted mine it works very good, all you need is a volt tester, pick, paper clip, and 10mm wrench, pick out the rubber grommet from the tps sensor, and stick the paper clip in where the red wire is, get your volt tester, put it on negative post of battery and on the paper clip, you should have a reading of 1v, if not, there is a nut/bolt somewhere under where the tps plugs in, once you get that adjusted to 1 volt you hold the throttle to max, and should get a reading of 3.7-4.0 volts, put the rubber grommet back in and you’re done.

On my 96 the dealer recommended rear differential fluid changes every 30k but if towing to change rear differential fluid every 15k. Although I think that is a little quick on the changes doing the job myself doesn’t make it expensive.

That 1 gallon of gear oil I had was enough with a little extra. You just pump oil in until it runs out, then you know it’s full. 👍
