it is less about visually being book accurate and more about the 'feel' of book accuracy; this feels more like Chani than the movies -- any idea which real faces the AI modeled both Paul and Chani from in this picture?

Thank you for your kind words. I used no reference pictures for the faces. But it took several hundred prompts and region variations plus additional work in photoshop to get to this point.

Ideal for relaxation, study, or a good night's sleep. Instead of epic battles and vast landscapes, my focus here is on portraying individual characters. It starts with Chani, as she roams the rocky canyons of Arrakis with the newcomer Paul her side. Paul is still confronted daily with new impressions and wonders of Arrakis. Chani has known all this since her birth, day after day, and guides Paul through his training. Seeking refuge from sandstorms and the daytime heat, they also encounter small rodents, true survivors who defy the hostile climate and other dangers in the dark. Chani was born on Arrakis, the daughter of the half-Fremen planetologist Liet Kynes and his full-Fremen wife. Like all Fremen children, Chani quickly learned that crying was not allowed, as wasting water was an unforgivable sin. At the age of 14, Chani became entangled in the turmoil of war between the Harkonnens and House Atreides. Stilgar had received orders from Kynes to search for Paul Atreides and his mother Lady Jessica and bring them to Sietch Tabr. Chani was to accompany Stilgar. Chani was deeply impressed by how Jessica, a woman, outperformed Stilgar in a brief fight. It was only when Paul, still a small, fragile boy, killed a doubting Fremen warrior without receiving a scratch that he also caught Chani's attention. Sharing visions, Chani and Paul grew closer, knowing that they both should play a major role in history. I tried to make Chani's appearance somewhat resemble the visualization of the computer game from 1992. Developed for MS-DOS and other platforms by Cryo Interactive Entertainment and published by Virgin Interactive. Does anyone still remember that? I utterly detest Villeneuve's Chani. Bossy arrogant loudmouth. Disrespects Stilgar. Doesn't believe in Paul. To make it worse, she's played by Zendaya who is NOT attractive at all. This AI Chani however, is much more beautiful! She looks part Spaniard, part Middle-Eastern. Mature, patient, wise, intriguing, charming, captivating. And those eyes ❤

zendaya chani was an absolute nightmare in the film to watch, I literally couldnt believe my eyes at the ending, zooming into her face, chin quivering in impotent rebellion against paul as she runs away... Zendaya isnt an actress, all she does in every role is play herself everytime

Well she’s not the same character alright sure it is different but calling Zendaya Ugly is utterly insane I guess y’all too hooked on the European standard of beauty while us Brown people are never attractive… hmm sure but Denis’ adaptation is still brilliant though, not every nation would easily let some foreigner lead them and I find it rather more realistic even if it’s the novels I think it’s much more interesting to see resistance and who knows what if Chani will eventually grow into the character closer to the original source material and a sort of recycling the themes of inevitability and evolution from Paul’s arc from the first Dune film by Denis Villenueve But yeah still salty how you don’t find people like Zendaya attractive because I think she’s helping normalize how brown skin and round noses can be beautiful

Sounds like you are just throwing your own insecurities out and trying to make that seem like someone else's bias. Many of her physical attributes are European with just slightly darker skin. In retrospect you are dissing Zendaya twice by saying too hooked on European standards and trying to imply that brown people cant be attractive from his pov.
