The best part of being a lock in TBC is when they leave BG the dots are still on them.. So many times i played my rogue and left cause healer died etc and died after cause of dots and cloak on cd.

I can say that the TBC classes were more fun than current. Even they were best in all expansions. I used to play Lock, Mage and Spriest. SL lock and Elemental Mage were my favorites. Nothing beats Frost nova - > BlastWave -> Fireblast combo.

this is exactly why i stopped to play arena with my mage in tbc. Unless you have decent rogue you would have no chance. Another annoying combo I remember was SL/SL lock with Resto Druid. Spam exhaustion, dots, hot and jump around.

the sad thing is that this works against priest mages that dont know how to play...but when you have ratings and start facing teams that know how to play the tiny mana burns become no more than a luxury you cant use unless you were already winning

did u ever played WL before? NIce vid, but there are alot you can do way beter. Using Banish on Elemtar pets btw, fear and coil to interupt. Also do some damage with drain life. Stay practice bro and you got it, its a lot fun :)

I wouldnt be against damage spells just not costing mana for a few classes. It just produces toxic counter comps with 0 counterplay whatsoever. It has always been a problem on TBC, and I'd actually like #somechanges to that just to spice it up a little. That being said, graycen is yet another mage not running winter's chill. Not running that talent is basically trolling in TBC. It's 5 easily stacked debuffs that mask ur polies, novas, cs's and fears. As toxic as dPL is vs dPM, they can still win in nova-fear into double shatter goes. They just don't get any cc to stick coz no chills...

#somechanges is not about class changes. Herb spawns, spellbatching everything that is based allround the bad or limited ressources they had back then that makes it feel bad thats what somechanges is good. But this is a change to core class mechanics and mana was a deal back then. Its the game design and what its about.

I agree with your second paragraph but I'm heavily opposed to the idea of changing the need for mana. I mained a hunter in original TBC and when they lost mana for focus, the class was never the same. ( I understand it's slightly different to what you're proposing.) I currently main a mage in Classic and have played mage in TBC servers in the past and there is more to getting high rating than just mechanical skill. Just like every other game in the world, tbc has a meta. If they changed such a fundamental thing as giving mana users the ability to do damage without the need for mana, who knows what the meta will turn out like. What if theres something wrong with it? When do the changes stop?
