The 1995 version came in a slightly longer version that showed various mirrored animal images before the 4 tree formed, which actually emphasised what the "Beastly Xmas" meant.

It is the best ident from the 1980's on C4 in my opinion.Yes it is only snowfall, but it gives the 4 some personality.

I actually like the 1994 ident. From the perspective of someone watching C4 back then, the ident seems like it's going to be normal, only for the freezing over to surprise you.

Mm I'm told that re C4s idents for its earlier years (before the arrival of the plain, non coloured "4"), the amount of music royalties paid out to the composer of that simple 4 note intro, were colossal! Remember it was played in front of every C4 item every day...!!

I really like 1994's, but it might just be the earliest 1994 Christmas Ident I remember. I recall a second variant as well, where it was the standard ident but all the blocks were sparkling. Did I make that up?

1988 was a great one and so was 1990. The first 1993 one was good as well. 1995 was alright

The 96-98 circles era didn't do special idents beyond the first year, the 99-2004 squares era simply repeated a tree fading to the 4 symbol and from 2004-14 they didn't do xmas idents at all apart from when they reshowed the Snowman in 2012.

1995 scared the living crap out of me as a then 12 year old! 1982 and 1983 were crap,no effort. My favourite I think is between 1991 and 1993 (the Christmas in NY year theme for C4)
