BBC EAS Scenario - Y2K Bug (2000)

In the 1990s, there were rumors about the world ending once clocks hit the new millennium. All of this was speculated due to a programming error in the majority of computers.
Thankfully for us, nothing too catastrophic happened. But what if it did?

If this actually happened i would: On Dec 31, 1999 at ~23:30, set my computer's clock to Dec 31, 1998 so that when it's 2000, the computer will think it's 1999 so it won't have to deal with the Y2K bug

You know, an episode of a show I like gave me an idea for an EAS Scenario: Random things start changing (eg things being created/ceasing to exist) and only a few people notice. Everyone thinks they’re insane, but then suddenly everyone realises “Hold on, this isn’t normal” Edit: Yes, it was based off TPOT 15, but also an EAS Scenario called “Mandela Effect” where Asia was erased from history

The ambiguous ending is the most eerie part of this for me. IMO, it seems like the country was hit with the nuclear missile, and as such, the BBC station was in the immediate blast radius, causing instant destruction of the studio and termination of the broadcast.
