This cast on is perfect to use with garter stitch as well

Thank for a great tutorial! I think I've mastered it, although "mastered" might be stretching it a bit! I'm all thumbs and struggle to keep the wool tight on my left hand. The finished result is a bit uneven. You make it look so easy :)

If the CI CO is followed by 1x1 ribbing, knit flat, how do I insure that the base of the knit stitch of the ribbing is the "bump"/picot stitch? I guess I'd also like to make sure that the bump wasn't the edge stitch, so as not to interfere with seaming. In that case, would one side of the to-be-seamed front and back pieces require two normal CO stitches, to avoid the bump in the seam?
