i feel like Khans is a great example of : A draft set with a lower power level overall can be super fun. Also 3 colors is sweet :).

I can confirm that Sage-eye is absurd in a hyper aggressive 7 1 drop bw warriors with 2 raider's spoils, just as an evasive curve-topper that draws cards. Other than that it seems very cuttable though.

Are you trolling right now no way is Empty the Pits worth playing. Something about having 2 sandsteppe citadel is satisfying. I wish I had tix to draft.

Empty the Pits is rad, especially as closer in sultai control.

It gets even better than that. Every time he draws it he is able to cast it. In a 3 color deck , he doesn't get punished for playing a card that takes 4 of ONE color to start. In fact he never gets punished. He top decks his way to victory like a True Jedi Master.

Brendan Van Voris It's not like he played Duneblast on turn 4 either. Do I really have to go back and watch all the matches and count how early he could have cast it EVERY TIME he drew it? I have been PUNISHED for playing a card that takes 3 of one color and it was in a TWO color deck that had all kinds of Ramp. It's amazing what people accept as plausible. How did we get conditioned to NOT question anything?

YouAreOneOfUs I think playing it was right in this deck. He has 11 black sources and 2 nominal black sources in bitter revelations. He is playing an essentially two color deck (2 of 4 green cards are morphs). He only took it as a speculative pick, which happened to pan out. The bitter revelations should help smooth out any mana issues for green or black. It's a fine card in this deck. In general, in this format, it is not a good card. I would have taken the sultai flyer and only if it comes back take it as a speculative pick. The only argument for taking it is to avoid a 0-1 drafter taking it, the 0-1 drafter trying to force it, and the 0-1 drafter taking all the black cards in pack 3 from me.
