It's been a good run, but unfortunately I haven't had as much time as I'd like to make Danmakufu scripts. I tried making it work over the past year, but medical school's pretty demanding work. And while it's not like I have NO free time, I'd rather spend the time I DO get actually relaxing. Because more and more, scripting almost feels like work. And when my brain is fried from studying, I just can't focus... OTL
That said, I'd still love to stay involved with the Danmakufu community in some way. So I'll be periodically uploading videos of gameplay from others' Danmakufu scripts! I know that's not necessarily totally new for this channel, but I wanna make it the main focus now. Often times I've found really great scripts that no one else has covered, so I'm hoping to bring attention to them. And perhaps I could even offer some worthwhile commentary on the danmaku design?
Either way, I just wanted to finally break the silence. I know I don't usually post scripts very frequently anyway, but I just wanted to temper expectations so nobody's upset that I'm not making any more scripts going forward.
Look forward to more videos in the near-future! I've got a lot of scripts I want to show off!

Danmakufu has impacted my life in a way that I never really expected. Without you I would have never met some of the people here. I wouldn’t be lieing when I’m saying that I’m really gonna miss your scripts. From a lot of people I’ve spoken to whilst in this community, you’ve inspired so many of the people I’ve gotten to know. If it weren’t for some of the scripts you’ve made I wouldn’t have even known that this bullet hell maker even existed. A number of people would say the same thing. I’ve enjoyed practically everything you’ve made and to this day look to them as a source of inspiration. You’re still held in really high regards, hell the term ‘the next AJS’ exists because you’ve made such an impact. I don’t think anyone like you will show up again in the dnh world. I think everybody will be sad to see you stop but...I’ma just glad to have been around whilst you were still making such gold. But, more than anything really I’m really really happy to here that 1) you still wanna stay connected to the community 2) you’ll still be making something for us to enjoy and 3) you’re in friggen medical school, that’s like, a big thing. Hats off too ya dude. qwq Now go do the medical stuffs.

A sad retirement, but one you truly deserved. Good luck you madman, and if you're at least half as good at med school as you are at danmakufu, I'm sure you'll breeze it!

Being a person of encouragement and pure inspiration as well as motivation, you were no exception to me. Seeing your amazing scriptwork always pushed me forward to branch out in my own direction and help myself develop in that topic. Hell, it's thanks to you I gave myself enough courage to finally work on my own project! It's sad to see you retire from creating your work, but seeing how many people have gone into your steps, It's more than likely your legacy will live on and shall be remembered upon many years in our community. That being said, switching your channel goal to a Danmaku Pattern Revisor in terms of design and ideology, as well as technicality is a great idea, mostly due to how little outside help danmaku designers get in the first place. Having you revise patterns would be an honor to have, especially since how helpful can constructive criticism be from experienced people like you. I wish you nothing else but a calm and peaceful journey to your degree, as well as your further plans regarding this channel succeed in the long run. Stay safe.

I'd say something along the line "The King is dead, long live the King" yet not exactly sure if that's correct.. Man, that was a long ride and I'm truly grateful for all the work you did and joy you brought to us. You did it great! Yeah gonna say it's your decision, and I bet it's the best decision out there. Good luck on studies, cheers!!

It's a real shame, no lie you were one of my favorite and most unique scripters I've ever seen (it really says something that I've been recommended to play more scripts by you than anyone else). It's a shame, but something I figured was coming one of these days with how long it's been since your last script (I know full well how bad real life can get in the way of things). Best of luck going forward in the future, and it's great that you're still gonna stick around in some way.

As much as we all love your scripting, the important stuff goes first. Do your best with med school! (Hopefully, you'll have time to get back into more danmakufu scripting in the future ^^') Oh, and I'm sure your reactions to others' scripts would be unique in their own way, heh.

All I can say is thank you for your contributions to the scripting community - you inspired me and many others to start and really explore concepts of danmaku (and using Danmakufu) never seen before. I really have to thank you for giving me some feedback when I was really starting to get back into scripting - really helped me personally to improve and see the positive qualities in my own work. Something I'll never forget is putting Phoenix Wright gameplay into DNH. That was insane. I'd love to see you return, but given med school I don't think it's likely - but who knows?

Can't say I'm not bummed that we won't be getting more scripts from you, but I can totally relate (I took 16 months to make a 1-stage meme game...), and of course school is way more important. I'm totally on board with the new idea though, it's always neat to see some of the more obscure stuff get the spotlight. I'd say I'd like it if you could take a look at some more obscure fangames/Touhoulikes (like the Ore no Animism games maybe?) but I'd imagine that would also take too long. Regardless, I'm hyped to see where the channel goes!

Just wanted to give my own note. You were one of the main creators of Danmaku that tried to push really creative ideas into a gameplay form. Ignoring the general generic patterns and coming up with stuff like trying to make Junko’s circles simple gimmick into actually interesting attacks. When I get around to my other project a massive Touhou fangame, I’ll be making a special thanks to you. Because you tried, more than most to do something special. And that taught me what it meant to actually push the bounds of this genre. I wish you luck, and hell, maybe after medical school you could always continue Danmaku, haha. But at least you’ll still be around, so push on with what you aim for. Thanks man.

It was a huge pain starting off, and for many years as I tried to improve. It did finally get easier to script over the past couple of years, but I always like to try challenging myself - hence why my scripts would often times have wacky gimmicks to them. That said, it was a very fun hobby! Just one that demands a lot of your time. The payoff is immense, but it's just a lot of work ;w;
