Wow, that's spooky. I had the car MOT'ed this week and it also had a broken spring. Just heard from Saltire, my new bike will delivered to them on the 10th, hopefully pick up later in that week.

@@Coastriderscotland I know the mechanic pretty well and he said that they see alot of springs go. Most often when the car is just sitting doing nothing. I have had that happen to me on a previous vehicle. Yep, will be happy when the wait is over, but they have a 3 week waiting list for servicing so that's going to be an issue (given the time of the year).
