As a student I was robbed when a society I was studying in was burgled in the middle of the night. They stole my laptop and cutting edge smartphone. They stole cash I had taken out for a month's rent... Then the police recovered the phone but held it as evidence. I got stuck paying a contract for a phone I couldn't use. I needed to take out a second contract....a year and a bit later when it went to court and I as the victim submitted my expenses for the contract they'd made useless they refused to reimburse me and handed me the now massively depreciated phone. Nightmare.
