Counter-terror police have taken over the inquiry into the collapse of a former Russian double agent and his daughter on a Salisbury park bench.
Sergei Skripal and his daughter both remain in critical condition in hospital tonight after being exposed to an unknown substance.
Boris Johnson told the Commons today that he is not pointing fingers, but warned that Britain will respond “robustly” if evidence of state responsibility for the Salisbury incident emerges.
For their part, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry dismissed Mr Johnson’s comments as “wild”.

Russia responds as it always do in their new kind of warfare: "Ridiculous! Let us do our own investigation and we'll tell you if we were involved, which we were not." Same as the Litvinenko case and the Crimea/Ukraine invasion.

The way the public view the homeless and drug users etc is EVER so prominent during this incident. Please, NEVER ASSUME, if you see someone collapsed, CALL 999 AND ASK FOR AN AMBULANCE. It doesn't matter why, but two people collapsing like that at the same time is extremely rare, even among drug users. The way Dawn and her partner were treated also beggars belief. All the way through, her treatment was marred by the fact her PARTNER, NOT her, HAD been a 'user'. If Novichok had been suspected sooner, Dawn would have had a fighting chance, just like the Skripals, Nick and her partner, Charlie. The netflix retelling of this tells a totally different story about Dawn Sturgess to the one you were told about in the media. She was actually trying to rebuild her life, regain contact with her daughter, she'd just moved in with Charlie in his new flat, they were starting over.

@Gavra Kaćanski The plan to falsify evidence did or at least as much as they could to distort it. Google OPCW Syria gas attack and see the latest of what the syrians were accused of yet now shows that this company is completely corrupt and not just incompetent but going out the way to delete truths and hide things and give false narratives.

Skripol had been a Russian spy who gave info to the Brits. When that was discovered, he was arrested in Russia, but later freed to Britain in a spy exchange. Skripol continued to provide info to British and Spanish authorities about Russia and the Russian mafia, so he was poisoned. His daughter just happened to be visiting from Russia. They both recovered from the poison.

This matter smells worse than rotten fish. Skripal and daughter must have been lured to that bench. A father and daughter would find the comfort of home preferable to a bench in the middle of winter. The evasiveness of the British government forces one to doubt the veracity of its telling of events. Chat comments are overwhelmingly in favor of British complicity in the crime. Why are so many Russian nationals found dead or dying in Britain? The British are not forthcoming about the analysis of the nerve agent. How did they know so soon it was a nerve agent? How were they able to so quickly identify it, yet refuse to share that information with the world? How did they know within minutes the antidote to the agent? It stinks.

Yes, but politics is never really that simple. The British empire has been involved in far too many sinister crimes ranging from the Irish potato famine to the Opium Wars and to the non-existent WmDs of Saddam. It is in this light that people who know their history have suspicion. It has nothing to do with believing in conspiracy theories for the sake of believing in them.

I saw a comment a little while back; that mentioned Russia's playbook...1st deny; which we saw was done by the Kremlin apologist on the panel; then 2nd say everyone is doing it. By first denying it; then say everyone is doing it (a handful of malevolent regimes, may be acting like this, but not even remotely close to all... so, not true). By Russia saying everyone is doing it, but denying they do it; they contradict themselves and show themselves to be liars. It can not both be true that every one does it and everyone would obviously include Russia, yet deny Russia does it. There is a pattern well described in this video...a kind of murderous pattern, I am not aware of coming from any other country, other than Russia, at least to this extreme degree. If there is some of this deeply malevolent murderous behaviour coming from elsewhere, it is to a much lesser degree and comes from only a very few notorious regimes, in places like North Korea and Iran...a small number of countries well known to be among the very worst nations for the people within those few countries and bad actors on the world stage toward other nations.

What did they do to the US election exactly? I would love to see you go ahead and come to CIA and FBI and hand them some evidence. They've been looking for it for awhile in vain so your evidence would really help. Please, come show them some evidence so they can also explain why Hillary lost. Please come to them as quick as possible and show how the Russia did it, the world need to know. Oh you don't have any fucking evidence, just like this case. Btw, Hillary lost because she is a fucking disgrace. I heard she didn't even come out and give you people a few words just for your effort. That should tell you already.

2 weeks ago I had to get 3 new tyres repaired on my car prior to an M.O.T. What bad luck....no. The guy at the garage put the blame solely on Russia. Channel 4 are thinking about running this story. 'This has all the hallmarks of Putin's medling'.
