It's ok for Canada, they have bigger land and more resources to accommodate more people, Australia land smaller and infrastructure is lack so cannot accommodate that much migrants, Australia always say they want to cut down the migrants but they don't do it

Most likely not .. Canadians are on the street protesting whereas Australians are relatively cool on this. After mining housing is the most protected industry in Australia. so they wont touch immigration for now. Maybe more delay in visa processing but that's about it.

It would be a terrible idea for Australia to join the USA.. the crime & murder rate statistics in the US shows that the country is not doing well.
