6:12 this is actually from the video game--Rayne takes damage from any bodies of water. However, I read in a vampire encyclopedia that some vampires are sensitive or afraid of water because water is a natural substance of the Earth, and because they are unnatural and undead, it "purifies" their impurity, which is why it burns like it would if it were liquid fire. Same thing for witches. It doesn't necessarily have to be blessed water. But this is one of those more rare folklore "rules" among vampire weaknesses. Such as vampires hate nets or tied-up ropes because they feel compelled to untie all the knots, or throwing seeds on the ground, they stop what they're doing and count them like they have OCD. lol

Here's a fun little fact for you The Main chick is a Dhampire. She's specifically called that by the fortune teller. By definition, a Dhampire is a hybrid of a human and a vampire (rarely born of a happy union between the two species). Dhampires would technically be considered STRONGER than a vampire; because they have all of the strengths of a vampire, with only one of the weaknesses. That weakness, being the thirst. Dhampires are supposed to be immune to the effects of silver/quicksilver, garlic, and sunlight; meanwhile they get the supernatural capabilities. So her having ANY of these vampire weaknesses despite being a creature that is described as being IMMUNE to almost any weakness of a vampire, is absolute stupidity.

Mona Teasley Darren Shan Saga is very similar to what this comment is describing, in the DSS though it's not immunity, it's partial or mostly immune, it also takes out ALOT of the current Vampire Mythos aswell... but aye, people are first made into "Half bloods" by a mentor taught about how to live and survive and generally assist the mentor, then they are fully blooded and that's really as far as you get to know throughout the saga, I haven't read the entirety of the prequel saga, but it's much more adult and is interesting if you're a history buff.

Okay, story time. I was working at AMC when this movie came out. I didn't even know it was there, till I looked up what movies we had. Now because I worked there I got to see it for free, after watching that shit I felt like I should have been payed overtime. To top this shit cake with a nice shitty icing my dad had got me a gift a movie based on another game series I loved, House of the Dead. I was pissed, House of the Dead my ass it was a shack on a island and that's not counting all the other things wrong with it. They all either fail all together, fail at the box office but gain a cult fallowing, or do decent at the box office but fail with fans. The setting is wrong (the first game is set before and around World War II, hence Nazis; the second game is in modern times turned a vampire rendition of Fallout, none of them medieval fantasy). Boll makes Rayne out to be an insulting form of who she should be. Action is bad.
