The movie was terrible I fell asleep twice and 2 other people I went with fell asleep too. Boring, boring, boring....I know the musical so the movie was a big snoozing opportunity.

I think Doug gave this movie the most honest review. I saw fan type reviews that said people didn't get why it's amazing. I saw some cinema heads who said people didn't get why it's not great. Doug gets it because he reviewed it as a cinema enjoyer and video game appreciator, and that makes this a pretty fair and unbiased review

I wonder what Nick O'Teen's backstory is, what his reason is why he wants kids to get addicted to cigarettes. Was he forced to smoke by his parents when he was little, and to cope with it he now does the same thing to kids on the street?

1:29:00 This incredible set work and mise-on-scene shows why Jerry Lewis is so respected in the world of film. He's also credited with inventing the precursor to video assist technology, which is used to support film making.. A very underrated genius, and worthy of recognition.

Doug… the director was behind the shitty Jem and the Holograms film. Glad Wicked fans are happy with this but he’s still an ass

Honestly, I found the alchemy and almost religious aspects of it very intriguing. And it did teach me things about ants. And alkaseltzer! Best ad ever, btw.

Underrated. Some gross out humor I'm not a fan of, but the characters are tons of fun, the designs are cool, and the villain is hilarious. XD I didn't notice that Chaplin and Buster are credited til now. That's awesome.

They played this in the 80s sometime around Halloween on TV I think right before The Wizard of Oz , and it was possibly the first time I had seen either one , I guess I was like 6-8 so 1985-ish maybe 1987, anyway I tried to remember what it was and looked for it for decades until my memory and KZbin got to the point of finding literally ANY old thing you can remember from your childhood, but I’ll have to say, this movie DID stick with me obviously for YEEEARS, the camel and the GREEDY for sure were seared into my brain for 40 years lol. Very cool to have finally found it again all this time later, reminds me of my grandparents and watching them both in their living room on their solid piece of wooden furniture television set 😂😂😂. Fun fact the Greedy is voiced by the same guy who did the Creepers voice in Creepshow 2 and I can’t unhear it at all now lol, but I guess the Greedy is PROBABLY WHY the Creepers voice has always been so distinctive to me I was hearing the Greedy and not making the connection all these years. I dig this movie but , I am a product of the late 70s and early 80s so… I would probably dig it no matter what

The bird terrifies the same way Dragon does in Secret of NIMH. They make the perspective of the animals a key point. So a bird or a cat is a Kaiju to bugs and mice.

I actually do want another Zootopia. Honestly, I find this movie both funny and disturbing. I like it. XD A Bug's Life was the first time I felt my dorkiness was represented. So I don't hate Flick. Also, I had MY first time seeing the Liar Revealed trope with this movie. It was actually really upsetting to me. Is this movie really inspired by The Ants and the Grasshopper?
